Do you think a Pacquiao loss will hurt boxing? I was just thinking that it would probably be a negative in the sport. If you look at how much attention his fight against De La Hoya and Hatton brought and how Pacquiao is looked at as the P4P best right now. A loss to Cotto might derail the momentum created in the sport. I could be wrong but I'd like to know what the board thinks.

I went for Cotto and I was wrong, Pacquiao is a damn good fighter-he's reall good. Cotto looked like all the steam was gone from his punches in round 5. Pac gave him ribbs and Cotto was hesitant-guess he doesn't like Bar B Q's. Anyway, Pac put on another great performance now it's time for the fight everyone's been waitin for. There's no 1 for Floyd to fight that matters right now. I think any other opponent than Pacquiao wont do well. There's no need to build up shit-these 2 need 2 fight next. I say they should fight around the April, May time frame. This fight has to happen next-the fans don't want 2 see shit else-this will be the biggest fight ever hands down. This shit will be 50/50 betting odds & critics.

Manny is a carrier of the incurable M1P1 Virus -- PacMan Fever. It has a short incubation period. Once Cotto is exposed to it on November 14 the prognosis is not good. In fact, he will be cooked -- laid out within nine rounds. Even Louis Pasteur could not create a vaccine to protect Cotto from this. - Freddie Roach

This my last post till after the fight, I'm going on record sayn Pac gets stopped 2nite. I can't even say told you so cause I've been wrong so many other times going against Pac b4. Lets see here's the run down-1st MAB fight(never heard of Pac prior 2 this fight so I get a pass), Morales 2nd & 3rd fight, 2nd Marquez fight(even though I think Marquez won) Oscar(I picked him-but fight night I thought it was a pick em) and Hatton. So if Cotto do win I can't and wont bragg cause I've been wrong so many other times going against this dude. Anyway, here we go again, I got Cotto, just like my 2nd marrige-I believe I got it right this time.

in all actuality paciquiao might lose this one which would not really hurt him because he can fight. he doesnt just have speed byt power and some boxing skill .everybody talks about how he is much smaller but the guys he fights started at smaller weights also. i am a pacman fan and i dont see him losing but he has been knocked out before and his fights with good boxers shows that he is not a boxer but a brawler .who is cotto's only lose to another brawler thats wasn't even close to being on pacmans status.havin said that this post is stupid because pacman wins by knockout late

We have enough belts, but > there should be a p4p belt if u ask me-now thats the > ultimate belt to have. Mannmann, there's no way to defend a P4P belt. For example, RJ was P4P King when he fought Ruiz. If Ruiz had beaten him, now way in hell Ruiz should have been the P4P King. The P4P title IMO isn't something that can be won and loss in the ring. Its just a feel thing. Like this upcoming fight. It has been promoted as a welterweight title fight. Know, all hardcore fans know that Cotto is holding a paper trinket. But, IMO the belt is somewhat important in this one because of the historical standpoint of no one even winning titles in seven divisions. But personally, I'm viewing this fight more as the P4P King defending that status against against yet another elite fighter. If Cotto wins, he has a chance of being evelated to #1, but it wouldn't be undisputed by any means.

All yall talk about is the shit we already know, Stevie Wonder knows Pac is faster than Cotto. Chavez was slower than just about every opponent he faced, but he still broke their ass up didn't he. If all yall can base everything off is speed and who's bigger than whatever. Cotto is pretty smart in the ring. Dude loss 1 fight-but if u didn't know boxing & went of what u read on these boxing sites you might think Cotto was a bum with like 10 defeats-he's loss 1 fight-yeah he couldn't keep Marg off him but who can? Williams moved his ass off for 12 rounds-but Marg was still all over him. Pac doesn't fight like that-he basically darts in and out-he can be timed. Cotto is in his prime-I think he showed what he's about and how he recovered in the Clotty fight. Pac did defeat a number of HOF fighters and I give him props-he's p4p number 1 for the rest of the day, but after 2night Cotto will be p4p number 1 and Pac will fall 2 number 3. We have enough belts, but there should be a p4p belt if u ask me-now thats the ultimate belt to have.

Pacquiao will win this fight, and don't be shocked if it's a knockout. Cotto won't be able to keep up with Manny. Pacquiao is on some mission with his recent past fights just dominating them.
