Matter of fact Gun, it was in the second round of the fight in question that Shamrock nailed Tito and dropped him to one knee. This promped Tito to do what he has done every time this has happened to him....get up and run away from his oponent. I thought it was funny as hell. It wasn't as funny as when Wanderlei Silva did it to him though. When Wanderlei did it Tito jumped up and ran all the way accross the ring from Silva. When he got to the other side and realized he didn't have anywhere else to go he turned around with the "Oh Shit" expression on his face. LuLz!

Didn't he get beat into submission? I don't even remember him being competitive. Tito took him down and took him out with elbows. Ken never really was in it.

Nah, he didn't forget anything. He should have retired after the first Tito fight because that was the last fight he was any good in. He is simply to old and has lost to much speed.

I was gonna say the point is moot because Ken didn't even show up. And Kimbo got KTFO. If you look at Ken's fights with Tito you can see that he's not what he used to be. Too much time at the WWF level. He forgot that this shit ain't fake.

I thought he threw in the towel in that fight because of chest pains... Anyway, as far as stamana, Ken hasn't gassed since that fight. He has fought a lot of good fighters since then too and a few went the distance. My point was Ken could go the 3 rnds w/out gassing. Kimbo went into the second on his fight before this one and looked worn out. Doesn't matter either way now though because Kimbo got KTFO!

IMO, Guzman shouldn't get a fight with a guy like Marquez anytime soon. The guy is a good fighter and I've never went against him in any of his fights but fighting is his career and I just think not making weight is horrible. They new he was off-you had all those people there to watch him fight Nate, not Cherry fight Bradly. Don't get me wrong, Bradly has a following too, it's just this was the fight of the night imo-cause I was definitely watching this over Marquez vs Casamayor, but it didn't happen because he continue's to have weight problems. Anyway, he's human, so I'm not talking like he should burn in hell, I'm just saying he should have to wait a lil while. They gave him a gift and didn't suspend him or fine him-I mean all they did was not pay him for not making a weight he hasn't seen since Soto and that was between Friday and Sat cause he was a full blown WW before the 1st bell rung. That would be criminal to even look at him before Nate or any other of the top guys at 135. Nate didn't get paid, didn't get his signing bonus of $200,000 and filed for bankruptcy cause Guzman NEVER made weight for their fight.

Wouldn't doubt it. The only thing Shammy has going for him is experience and his submission skills. His grappling may be moot at this point because of Kimbo's strength. Oh, one other thing...stamana...if you watched the last Kimbo fight you would see he was gassed by the third round. Ken doesn't gas in a 3 rounder, which my be the winning factor in this fight. Ken is used to fighting guys that aren't as big as Kimbo and he gassed and quit against Fujita in a fight he was winning. Ken is getting old. If Kimbo leans on him he will test his cardio even on the ground. I haven't seen Shamrock put a decent submission hold on someone in years. I see Kimbo taking him down.

Submissions are where he would > be lacking. Submissions have greatly improved since > Lee's time. sure two different things....but thats if you look at MMA as a sport. bruce a no-holds barred caliber fighter. anything goes. technically its survival or street fighting....and trust me bruce would just probably just break a limb, no submissions. plus i don't think he would of had any interest in the UFC or PRIDE. it would just be irrelevant...don't get me wrong i enjoy the sport. if yah get a chance read 'tao of jeet kune do'...the man was like a rocket scientist just way ahead of his time. great human being...i definately honor this man. he set the table for all mixed martial artist. "to reach me you must move to me. your attack offers me to intercept you" -bruce economy of motion a well rounded fighter needs to know how to grappel. but grappling and submission wouldn't do you any good in a street fight. maybe 1 on 1. but there are no rules in a street fight...his friend would just run over and kick you in the head while your attempting a kimora. bruce was the ultimate weapon his attributes were just unmeasurable...he could see anything 2mins before it happened. and he was also a undefeated boxer in the 60's look it up. and a cha-cha king LOL... just my opinion dude, and i respect yours. -- "don't believe the hype" -- Edited by bongster79 at 10/03/2008 6:31 AM PDT

Shamrock has a good ground game but he's old and tired. I don't think he'll be able to keep Kimbo on the ground and will get busted up again.

Anyone who would try and stand up with him and trade would be out of their mind. A good grappler/submission guy would eat him up on the ground though.
