After hearing the controversy over Margarito's hand wraps and the illegal hardening substance within his wraps, which required him to get re-wrapped three times, do you think Margarito got away with it against Cotto? It's so interesting how Hopkins trainer found this once before with another fighter. Shouldn't The people watching hands get wrapped be trained to pick up on this?

Pacman is the greatest freaking fighter of our generation period. Being a Mexican American I have followed boxing for years and I have to congratulate a well rounded fighter. I have always rooted for all the great Mexican fighters that have fought Pacman but have always came up come up short. This man is the Mexican, Puertorican, and Brithish killer! This man has fought the best starting with Barrera, Morales, Marquez, De La Hoya, Hatton, and now Cotto. Not to mention the other under rated boxer like Solis, Larios, and Diaz. To me Mayweather is a piece of Caca! Mayweather has never been part of a true war. He has never entertained me at all! Mayweather is simply an overated arrogant ghetto prick!

Who's next for Pacman?...who else..but the CHICKEN FLOYD GAYWEATHER.....if he is man enough not to run away in the ring and fight Manny.....toe to toe.... Pacman should get a higher purse.. 55-45 ...otherwise..forget it... Pacman has proven enough greatness in his boxing career....if Floyd is saying he's got all the advantage against the Pacman..then prove it...

Pac is a bad dude-he is 1 of the greatest of all time. That dude has done alot and he deserves a 50/50 split with Floyd, if Floyd think he's suppose to get more than Pac after that he's crazy.
50/50 sounds good to me. Let's get it on!!
My only fear going into the fight was how Manny would handle Cotto's punch. I said if he could take the punch, he would chop down Cotto, and that is exactly what happened. Manny is a special fighter, and we are fortunate to be watching him fight live.

Cotto never has and never will be a big puncher. Just because your bigger than someone doesn't mean you'll touch them and they'll crumble. Cotto is what he is. He's a good fighter that been promoted masterfully. He was protected for 90% of his career, and when he was exposed by Maragrito, he became damaged goods. He became a saraficial lamb tonight. He got his ass kicked. And now he can go back to fighting all the rest of those overrated welterweights that these bozos on here rave about.

We have to see the PPV numbers, but Lamly said it looks like this one outdid Mayweather-Marquez. If that's the case, 50/50 and Pac gets his ass kicked.

Cotto's face looked just as f*cked up tonight as it did in the Margarito fight. I think he's just a guy that swells easily and bleeds a lot. Probably has thin blood due to too much tequila.

That's a good point. Confidence is the biggest weapon a fighter can have and even though Margs was losing the early rounds he never seemed to care. Maybe he was just biding his time.
That's kind of what I was getting at with the Mosley/Margo fight. Maybe Mosley was so utterly dominant because Margo had lost all his confidence because he knew his career was over after the final bell. Personally, I haven't been putting too much stock in Mosley's win for that exact reason.

the question should be if he would fight margarito again with or without the wrapps.cotto was taylor made for margarito with the uppercuts watch the fight again if you dont believe me.cotto is a good boxer but pressure from margarito is to much for most fighters.Plus cotto cant hit like mosley. i called that fight a draw because he couldn't keep shane off of him.

It's not like Cotto never got hit until the sixth round. He was catching leather right from the first round he just caught more as the fight went on, which is kind of Marg's style. But that might also mean that Margo had been using plaster for awhile. IMO, Margo most likely used the wraps against Cotto but people who say Cotto was fine until the wraps hardened and then all of the sudden started catching punches are kidding themselves. Margo was snapping Cotto's head from the opening round and slowly landed more and more as the rounds ticked by. Cotto was also fighting at a faster pace than normal and looked physically spent so it's hard to say if it was illegal wraps or just Cotto gassing himself and Margo taking over. It's also hard to say whether the Mosley win was just because Margo sucks without his plaster or whether he could not focus because of the extreme stress of knowing that as soon as the fight is over he was going to be in a shitstorm. Maybe Margo could have beaten Mosley without the wraps. I don't think we will ever know because I doubt Margo will get a license back. He's too much of a black eye for the sport and I'm sure they don't want him bringing all that bad PR back into the spotlight.

Has anyone even heard anything about Margo lately? Is he even planning on trying to return to boxing? Is he still with Arum? Is there anymore legal stuff going on? I know that Schwarzenegger had said something about prosecution if the tests proved that he had put something in there. It seems like this guy has just totally fallen off the face of the Earth.
