After hearing the controversy over Margarito's hand wraps and the illegal hardening substance within his wraps, which required him to get re-wrapped three times, do you think Margarito got away with it against Cotto? It's so interesting how Hopkins trainer found this once before with another fighter. Shouldn't The people watching hands get wrapped be trained to pick up on this?

Hats off to Miguel Cotto, he > lasted 10 1/2 rds against a guy holding a brick. Yeah, but Mosley takes shots better than most fighter's anyhow. You can't even do a comparison in this area everybody knows or should know that Mosley can take a shot better than Cotto or just about any other fighter in the game. Did you see how effortlessly Margarito walked thru Cotto? That had to be unnerving. Cotto should be just as worried about that. Look without proof I don't know if Margarito cheated in his fight with Cotto or not, maybe he did or maybe he didn't I just don't think he did. Maybe he did cheat who knows, they still aren't gonna change that lost back to a zero. Cotto dodge a bullet in his fight with Shane, cause that fight was a draw at best. Mosley landed the most shots (if you go by compu box punch stats) and he had Cotto bleeding by the end of that fight. Personally, I thought Mosley won a close fight, or that the fight should have been ruled a draw at worst in Mosley's case. But I think close fights go to the younger opponent(at least that's the way it seems). Cotto sorta reminds me of Jermaine Taylor in a strange way, they're both good but there's somethin wrong. Imo, I think Cotto would be a much better fighter if he just shed his uncle. Anyhow, that's my opinion. I wanna at least see Cotto vs Mosley II or at best Cotto vs Paul Williams. I only gave Margarito the 2nd and 7th due to the fact that Cotto was visably hurt. Margarito-Cotto has taken on the myth that it was a "great" back-and-fourth fight. As I've stated before, I thought it was a fight in which Margarito followed Cotto around the ring getting belted with 3 and 4 punch combinations and occasionally landed a decent uppercut or body punch. I, like you, never saw Margarito land anything of that much meaning during the fight. And by the second half of the fight, Cotto looked like he'd been run over by a bus. Knowing what we know now about Margarito, I personally feel he cheated against Cotto. But, there's no way to prove it unless Margarito admits it. Seeing how he's proven to be such an "honest" guy, I doubt that will ever happend.

When i originally watched the fight i noticed Cotto was tiring around rd 5 and when he eventually went down i was very impressed with Margarito's overwhelming power. [Previously,Shane Mosely had worn Cotto down but Miguel fought back and showed the heart of a champion in a fight that i considered a draw]. Due to the fact that i couldnt recall any real damaging combinations led me to believe that this guy Margarito was in another league of power and toughness. When Antonio had his hand wraps changed [Minutes before the Mosely fight]he didnt seem as menacing and as Mosely took an occasional big right hand to the face or body, strangely nothing happened. So just the thought of Margarito loading his gloves makes perfect sense now. Hats off to Miguel Cotto, he lasted 10 1/2 rds against a guy holding a brick.

> >For the same reasons we're still Raiders fans. > > >>LOL, but there is a difference, Margarito was > trying to beat a man to submission > > You've obviously never seen the Raiders play football. The difference between margarito and the raiders is that margaritos just got one huge problem that will never be completely taken care of with the plaster wraps. The raiders have multiple problems that will never end. You can suit up tom brady at qb for the raiders but then u have to remember that robert gallery cant block for shit and neither can kwame harris! and if you replace them then you have to remember that the raiders have a horrible receiving core thats best player has been traumatized and cant play for shit since having darrent willaims die in his lap. then you have to get rid of the fat piece of shit mediocre tommy kelly that u paid over $9 mil last year to get you 4.5 sacks! then you give big time cb deangelo hall huge money and cut him after he starts playing better. then to top it off the raiders let gibril wilson go who had a monster season last year. and u give a punter record money! shows how much confidence they have in their team. they kno they need the punter that bad. And then they go and give asomugha a ridiculous amount of money! No player should be getting $15 mil a year to play cornerback. He is definitely the best cb in the league but that is overpaying big time. I Hate the raiders and i cant wait until al davis dies!!! i hope very soon. He is the michael vick of owners! but then u have the problem that his son wants to own the team the same way his dad did. so the raiders are destined for 4-12 seasons for years to come. If they ever let go of thomas howard or kirk morrison i may have to kill al davis myself

It's somewhat likely that he did. But,Margarito took an extraordinary amount of Cotto's best shots before turning the tide around the 7th round. That tells me that he'd have worn Cotto down eventually. What this scenario of illegal wraps also tells me is;ANYONE Margarito has recently beaten should FIRE his second or whomever is supposed to observe the hand wrapping for NOT DOING THIS VITALLY IMPORTANT JOB!In the recent Pacquiao/DeLaHoya bout,Freddie Roach reported that Oscar was having his hands wrapped somewhat questionably, and was adamant that they be rewrapped.Whomever was observing the wrapping was DOING HIS JOB PROFESSIONALLY!

Can any Margarito fan answer me this? Why are you still a Margarito fan? What has he done to deserve your loyalty? If you are a true die hard boxing fan, you would have turn your back on him. I was a fan, but when you play dirty, thats it for you. I'm not, and never have been a Margarito fan. I truly don't like him (I don't think he's a great fighter, good...maybe..great...hell no!!) That being said, I can see why his fans are sticking by him. They are true fans and they are probably more mad about him cheating than I am!!!!! People make mistakes, they get punished for their actions and they try and move on. A real fan doesn't duck out when something negative comes along, even trying to gain an advantage. I think he should've gotten a more severe punishment (He could've really hurt Mosley), But if I was a real fan before, I would still be a fan now. -- If you do what you've always done then you'll get what you've always gotten.
