What is your all time favorite fight and why?

The other day I was watching the Klitschko Chagaev fight and before and after that they had some really good fights on from the 80's. I think one of the best fights I'd ever seen and to me it's in my top 3 was Ray Boom Boom Mancini against Livingstone Bramble the rematch. Seeing Mancini run out there all bloodied and swollen and just wanting to fight was just like a real life Rocky situation. The guy was so impressive even though he lost it was an amazing performance. Are there any recent fights that stand out as an all time favorite or one's from way back? I'd like to know what they are.

the "rumble in the jungle" is my favorite fight. the way ali psyched out big george and took him out of his game before the fight was a thing of beauty. he had big george expend all his energy trying for a ko and when george had nothing left he took him out. classic.

Uh lets see.
Leonard vs Hearns I because of the heart both these guys showed plus the ability and skill to totally adjust in the middle of the fight to what could work and what wasnt working. Leonard became the stalker and Hearns became the boxer.

Pryor vs Arguello I- Brutal fight to the finish.

Holyfied vs Tyson I- Great win for Holyfield.

Ali vs Foreman- Knocked the big man on his keester in the 8th round.

Larry Holmes vs Ernie Shavers

Roy Jones vs John Ruiz.- History was made and Ruiz was exploited for the joke he really was.

Taylor vs Hopkins I- Hopkins finally lossed his title. Too bad Taylor turned out to not be the real thing.

Forman/Lyle For twists and knockdowns. Ward/Gatti 1 for sustained intensity. Hearns/Duran for 1shot, mind-numbing power.

I agree.
Pacquiao / Hatton ?.....WTF ?

Juan Manuel Marquez / Juan "El Torito" Diaz

Or a Showtime fight earlier this year

Luis Carlos Abregu / Irving Garcia.....was back and
forth.

I'm split between those for this year.

Pac v Hatton and Margarito v Mosley were the two biggest events of the year ... me thinks that they being on HBO sorta mattered.

Add Dunne-Cordoba and that fight on ShoBox I can't recall ... then you're getting somewhere

Marquez vs Diaz isn't my favorite fight, but I do think it's the best fight of the year so far. The HBO poll has it like this

Marquez vs Diaz 32%
Pac vs Hatton 38%
Mosely vs Margarito 25%
Berto vs Collazo (it reads Castillo) 3%
John vs Rocky Juarez 2%

This has got to be more of a popularity contest-cause I thought fight of the year had to be competitive-so why the hell do they have Pac vs Hatton as fight of the year? Mosely dominated Margarito also. The best fight this year when you use your head instead of your heart is JMM vs Diaz hands down-then Berto vs Collazo-even the Chris John vs Juarez fight was waay more competitive than Pac vs Hatton/ Mosely vs Margarito put 2gether.

Wow, so many to pick from but off the top of my head, i got a three way tie:

1) Corrales vs Castillio I

2) Gatti vs Ward I

3) Barrera vs Morales I

If you've seen any or all three of these, you know why.
