Reading this article here: http://www.thesweetscience.com/boxing-article/7369/circus-comes-nuremberg/ talking about the Valuev-Haye fight coming up ... I hadn't read/seen much about Valuev until recently, so didn't realize how big of a person he is (stands to reason he used to play basketball). It made me wonder, though, is being as big as he is ultimately a disadvantage? I'm reminded of the saying "The bigger they come the harder they fall", except no one has knocked him down yet.

I just watched the fight, and after the 7th round, I had to fast-forward to the 12th round. For all the talking Haye did, he performed quite poorly. Regardless, I'm happy Valuev is no longer the champion and probably never will be again............. Valuev lost his belt against Chagaev, and shouldn't have been champion........... gotta love how boxing rights it's wrongs.

Don't count on it; Ruiz might be able to wrestle his way to 'victory' against Haye.

Valuev also might be the P4P worst puncher in the sport

I scored the Valuev/Holyfield bout for Holyfield............. but boxing is VERY good at righting it's wrongs. Chagaev handed Valuev his first loss and prevented the circus show from beating Marciano's record......... and after Haye is done with Chewbacca; he'll hopefully disappear from boxing.

I always believed that whatever attribute you have is your advantage. Tall fighters with long arms can keep opponents at bay, and smaller fighters with shorter arms can utilize shorter hooks, uppercuts, and it also helps them with inside work. I never thought much of Valuev because when I did see him fight, he looked absolutely terrible. Watch Valuev vs Holyfield to laugh and cry at the same time.
