Do you think ring rust will be a major factor in this fight since Vitali is coming off of a 4 year lay off? Will this fight happen or will Klitschko drop out due to injury? What do you think of this fight? Are you looking forward to this? Will this be good for the HW division?

I can't say I'm a believer in Peter but I just think 4 years is to long. Going with Peter for this one. -- Do you smell what Barack is cookin? tan.the.man24@hotmail.com

i think peter wins but alot of that victory will have to do with vitali's body breaking down. i think he will end up hurting himself and his corner will have to stop it. maybe with his back.

Four years is a long time out of the ring. Klitschko has not been knocked down in his entire career at heavyweight. Can Vitali overcome the ring rust to out box or even knock out Sam Peter? Has Sam Peter lost any confidence after the McCline fight....I dont think Oleg Maskaev was a true test of where he is at. All in all, I have to pick Vitali. -- Edited by mossimo36 at 08/28/2008 8:08 PM PDT

I won't pretend to be objective...I'm a Klitschko fan- but I believe Vitali will be victorious over Peter in spite of the long layoff. Vitali has all the advantages over Peter;size, strength, reach, and skill Hopefully the layoff will have been good for him-time to heal from his injuries.

It is going to be shown on Showtime same day tape delay along with the Tarver-Dawson fight. -- Cruiserweights - what the heavyweight division would be if the heavyweight division didn't really really really suck.

vitali all the way aside sam being slow and vitali being slow its simply physics peter has to hit up vitali has to swing down giving Klit more force on the punch. aside that sam si really really bad and i would rather see him fight another banger like hiself in arreola. the truth is Vitali Klitchko means more problems for this division. old dudes coming back are like a cancer in boxing. its dangerous as they hold up the line and all the $$ is spent on them. anyways lets hope im wrong and peter beats Vitali setting up a nice fight with the other big bangers in the division. FOR CHRISSAKES LETS GET SOMETHING GOING the fights are out there HBO make them happen

Peter is slow and cumbersome but he's got a huge heart, uncommon determination to win and awesome power. I think Vitaly's ring rust will be a huge factor and this fight will be competitive. If Vitaly stands straight up he won't get caught. Vitaly is quicker and also has some heavy hands. If McCline could put him down Vitaly shouldn't have a problem. There is a lot of drama surrounding this fight IMO. What Vitaly's brings to the table will be the deciding factor.

Peter is a bum w/ power/chin/ he's slow and can't box-his fight with the last guy proved that, but he does have will-I'll give em that. I also have to give em props 4 the James Toney fights, but Peter is perfect 4 the HW division now-cause it's packed with bacon and egg fighter's-got to pay my car note on my used 1989 Neon type fighters. Lennox Lewis would've played with Peter before put em to sleep.

Viltai should be able to spank Peter's ass, you have to give him credit-he's not worried about some soft ass tune up-he's going straight 4 a title shot. Peter isn't that good 2 me and with Vitali's style-it should bring back some excitement 2 the HW division. The man can box, punch and the way Lennox was dropping bombs on his chin-I can say even that's solid. 4 years off, politics-whatever-his camp knows what their doing-they see the way he's performing in camp-his biggest issue might be stamina-but Peter moves like pond water-so he should be okay.
