I'm looking forward to it because I've seen Marquez train before and am interested in learning more about him. I think the work this guy puts in is amazing. I also would like to see if there are any hints at the conditioning of these guys and the type of shape they're both in. Maybe we'll see some ring rust. I don't know but with De La Hoya writing a blog about him believing Marquez will win and Freddie Roach saying Floyd doesn't look very good it does make me more interested in seeing if we can pick up on any of this from watching the series.

Witches and the whole nine. I remember my gramdma would make us keep salt in our pockets when certain people would come over. She would hang garlic when certain people would come over. Its crazy as hell down there. Several years ago, my uncle started having problems with his feet. And swore up and down they some lady down there had put a spell on him. And to this day, I won't eat spaghetti or chili that women, even my wife, cooks. Because a lot of women in the south, even here in Nashville, put there period blood in it to drive a man crazy. Weird sh*t goes on down south bruh. I guess from too much boredom.

IMO, it made Marquez look like a complete joke. It made him look as if he nows he's in over his head, and looking for some sort of voodoo remedy to do the impossible. On a side note, my dad is from LA (Lower Alabama) and his family believes in all that voodoo sh*t. My grandma (his mother) would always tell us that gargling your own piss was the cure for a sore throat. Of course, my mom grew up in the city and wasn't trying to hear that bullsh*t.

He said some bullsh*t about your piss having a lot of protein and he doesn't want to waste that protein intake. IMO, that was an all-time low moment for the 24/7 series. -- Edited by hitking60 at 09/07/2009 8:57 AM PDT

Hit, I don't know what to tell you either man, the whole piss drinking thing is news to me. I just was looking at the thread and noticed all this talk about it, and I haven't gotten to see the episode or what was in it but I guess they want to show the "Real" Marquez or how Floyd Jr. and Sr. interact. We have another two episodes of this right?

But when 24/7 is reduced to wathcing Marquez drink his own piss and Floyd Jr and Floyd Sr playing hand slapping games. Its time to scrap the show and go back to the 30 minute Countdown specials.

I haven't been able to catch the second episode yet, I was looking for it Saturday and Sunday night and couldn't find it. Hopefully I'll catch it soon but just reading about the piss drinking made me feel sick. I hope Floyd knocks the piss out of him lol. How the hell can his wife kiss him if that's the case? What do you tell people that watch that? Hey I saw your husband on HBO drinking piss, what a proud moment for the family lol.

After watching the Real World, I never thought this nonsense would blow up how it has, but I digress... http://www.fightinsight.com/2009/09/06/the-case-for-juan-manuel-marquez-against-floyd-mayweather-jr/

Many on this forum, including myself had commented that Mayweather appeared to be slower in Episode 1, especially in his mitt work. But on Episode 2, he looked like he has "regained" his speed. His work on the speed bag was very impressive and his mitt work with Roger reminded me of how it wasbefore he "retired." Compared to Marquez, Money looks a little faster in training. -- Edited by hitking60 at 09/06/2009 7:44 AM PDT

"Its called a desperation to make good PPV!" Any thing that would make it controversial from RIB-INJURY to that stupid thing!!! I just caught the second episode of Mayweather-Marquez 24/7, and I only have one thing to say. Ya'll know that I'll be rooting for Mayweather on Sep 19, but now, I want him to win more than ever. Because any grown man that admits that he drinks his own piss needs his kicked. But, any grown man that admits he drinks his own piss, and then does it on camera for the world to see needs a down home, go get three switches of the tree in the back yard, grandma braid those joints up, and then leaves welts across your ass and back ass whippins. I think its officially time for HBO to scrap the 24/7 thing all together, because they have no material. I know Money's act is getting old and boring. And I know Marquez isn't the most entertaining cat. But when HBO has to highlight Marquez drinking his own piss to fill a thirty minutes show. IMO, the show has run its course and its officially over. -- Edited by REALspicy at 09/06/2009 12:22 AM PDT

> I'm watching both the Marquez/Floyd and the Cotto/Pac > fights. But no way in hell am I wasting my time > watching that 24/7 bullsh*t. Its only purpose is to > hype up the damn fight to get more people to order > the event. I'll save my time watching the soap opera > and leave that sh*t for the drama queens like hitking. ? If you're going to spend 60 beans on each fight, why wouldnt you watch the 24/7.It's free and gives you a good insight on the fighters as they train as well as their personal stories.
