I don't remember the last time there were no HBO matches for an entire month (OK almost 2 ENTIRE months!). This is BS, I pay for HBO SOLELY for boxing. I don't care about the movies, don't care about original programming, don't care about ON DEMAND. I'm spending $15 on NOTHING. Next time do not waste your budget on matches NO ONE wants to see (*ahem dawsontarver*). What do you MEAN your network is not interested in Donaire/Darchinyan II? If HBO was a person, they could be committed for such a statement after they paid 3 million+ for a fight that people literally did not even want to see LIVE. But i guess it was better than NOTHING for 2 months. I hope this doesn't happen again.

This was the original thread where we talked about Chambers/Dimetrinko.
Well it looks like, Chambers schooled the russian. I couldn't make up all the action because the stream wasn't the best but the slow motion replays say it all.

I just looked him up, he's rated in the top 10 by all the ABC groups except the WBO. So maybe he can get into the title picture this year. But he was rated near the bottom of the top 10 in all of them, so it will probably be next year before we could see him fighting for a belt. Personally, I think he gets beaten once he steps in with legitimate top 10 light heavys. Beating an old, weight drained Chris Byrd doesn't mean all that much to me.

not much. I thought he'd be in the lhw picture after the Byrd fight...but nothing ever came of it.

I just read on another forum that Chambers weighed in at 208. He's got to be in the best shape he's been in. So that's a plus.

Co-sign. But look on the bright side. If Chambers had beaten Povetkin, they'd be acting like he's the next great American heavyweight. And instead of having to not order the PPV, and catch it on replay, if he wins tomorrow we'll probably get to see him KO'd live by the champ on WCB.

I don't know much about Dimitrenko. I looked him up on boxrec, and he doesn't have anyone of any consequence on his record, even in this pathetic division. He's undefeated, and I think if he fights with the spirit of an undefeated fighter, he could give Chambers problems. Chambers really diappointed him in the fight with Povetkin. This is WBO Eliminator. So it appears that the winner will rewarded with getting beaten up, then KO'd by the champ. Whatever!!

I've only seen the bout with Timo. He doesnt seem terribly strong.
Yes, Chambers does tend to not be very offensively active...and the fight is not a home game. He will probably get decisioned.
