One that stands out in my mind was the match between James "Lights Out" Toney and Dave "TNT" Tiberi. Toney was weight-drained and did well the first few rounds, even wobbling Tiberi and driving him into the ropes in the first round. Tiberi was relentless and showed a great chin though, and came on to press the action on a tiring Toney. He outworked him over the remainder of the fight, even staggering Toney a time or two, and looked to be the clear winner prior to the announcement of the judges' scorecards. Incredibly, Toney was given a split decision win, much to the amazement and dismay of the announcers and the crowd. Not to mention this boxing fan! For all his greatness over the years, Toney deserved to lose this match.

Well geezus I love Marvin Gaye but that was just as bad of a butchering as R.Kelly's. Both of them however were masterpieces compared to Aaron Neville's version. Dude sounds like he's in pain when heh sings. -- Who's Margarito? - FMJ

I've heard some say one of boxing's worst decisions was to let R Kelly sing the U.S. national anthem before Taylor-Hopkins: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PkI7F5u1BGY

Ali vs Leon Spinks was a BS decision. Spinks fought a good fight. But there were others who fought Ali who put up a better scrap that didn't get the decision. I always thought that fight was politically motivated.

Hearns-Leonard II is definitely up there. It doesn't get much worse. How bout' Jones Jr. in the Seoul Olympics. Or the Chavez-Pea draw. Forrest over Quartey was bad. MAB over Rocky in the first fight.

Spinks-Holmes II. Neither man dominated or was greatly active, but Holmes clearly accomplished more and landed the cleaner harder shots over the course of the fight and even had Spinks out on his feet and staggering around in the fourteenth round, but was unable to finish him. In my estimation Holmes won 9 of the 15 rounds yet Spinks was given the split decision by scores of 144-141(Frank Brunette), 144-142(Jerry Roth) and 141-144 (Joe Cortez). It prompted Larry's hilarious and infamous quote, "I can say to the judges, the referees, the promoters, to kiss where the sun don't shine, and since we're on HBO, that's my big black behind." Holmes was disgusted with the decision and quit boxing for nearly two years before he attempted a comeback against Mike Tyson.

George Foreman-Axel Schultz George Foreman-Shannon Briggs The irony here is that George received a gift in the first one, with Schultz, and had one taken away in the Briggs fight. Foreman looked like a Cabbage Patch Kid beating up a Raggedy Andy doll, and received no credit whatsoever.

Leonard-Hearns II. How in blazes did Ray Leonard manage a draw after being knocked down twice and mostly outboxed through much of the fight? Was it his tribute to Mandela? Some may mention Hagler-Leonard as a bad decision, but at least a concensus will agree that was a close fight, unlike Leonard-Hearns II appeared to be. A draw was a unbelievably fortunate outcome for Ray Leonard in that fight.
