Yo i hear alot of hating going on for my boy cotto. so Ima open up this thread for all my Cotto fans to discuss how Cotto is gonna whoop pacman's ASS!!! dont get it twisted I'm a big pacman fan as well but he bit off more than he can chew on this one. this aint no old outdated de la hoya and it aint no punk bitch overrated hatton. this little filipino dude bout to get some BORICUA FIRE in that ass!!!

Why does everyone insist Cotto has the "power" in this fight? Cotto never has, and never will be a power puncher. Assuming that Pac can't take his power because he's smaller is crazy in my mind.

When speed is matched with power, it's dangerous. Manny Pacquiao posseses both. I have to admit, Cotto has his work cut out for him. You can't hit, what you can't catch. If Cotto's able to time and delivered enough body blows, then he can slow Pacquiao and make better use of his power. He needs to be patient and use Pacquiao's reckless aggression against him. He needs to fight Pacquiao, the same way Marquez fought him, except use more jabs, counters, tight defense and body shots.
The way, that I see it, this fight isn't going to be a walk at the park for either fighter. If the fight turns into a brawl, then Cotto wins, based on his size and strength. I prefer a technical fight, going at full speed in the middle rds. and brawling the championship rds. Now, that's my kinda fight.
Unlike what ppl. may think concerning this fight, it's going the distance. I'm picking Cotto by SD.

But which one is really dominating, speed or power?
Speed kills, but I don't count power out. As long as Pacquiao retains his speed all throughout the 12 rounds if it goes through the distance, he'll gonna cruise to an easy UD. If he is going for an early kayo, he'll find himself into trouble. It would be a risky move to slug it out early with Cotto, who'll be the bigger man inside the ring. That's where Cotto's power will dominate the smaller man.

If Cotto is going to win so easily, then why are more than 80% of fans tipping Pacquiao to win by KO??? Paquiaos power aint bad either. Combine that with his speed and that awkward southpaw style and things may get complicated for cotto.
i really think paquiaos skills are very underrated, hes just so awkard that he doesnt get much credit for them.
cotto has some decent skills also but is a bit more predictable. mannys come a long way since his lost to morales, and the two showdowns with marques. pluss he seams to carry the weight pretty well.
i dont see this as an easy fight but my money is on paquiao.

Cotto may not be a slug to an average welterweight. But he's definitely a slug when matchup with Manny Pacquaio.
