I found this while looking up some other stuff on youtube. I'm sure some of you have seen it, but I thought I'd put it on to see what your thoughts are. One could start a thread about Abraham fucking Lincoln, and it would somehow turn into a Mayweather hate-fest ! WTF, and holy shit !

How did this topic get turned to another thread about Floyd? Was it Croatian or Duplicity that made it so? -- Good people drink good beer. -Hunter S. An opinion that finds it way into EVERY conversation and subject matter regardless of the topic. I was just told I cant be a fan of Mayweather and Pacquiao, because of some nonsense. Forget the fact that I ve purchased every Pacquiao PPV since his first fight with Barrera. Oh ok.

They need financial advisors so they can pay the right amount of taxes and do what they need to do legally. Sugar Ray Robinson left the sport and came back after about 2yrs i think because he had money problems. As far as Floyd's behavior. How he acts when the cameras are on is an act. Whether you think he's an @$$ for doing it or not, he has played the bad guy in the sport, played on other's hate and created the image that has him the most talked about fighter in the sport. As far as his spending habits. They are probably ridiculous like most modern day athletes, but you wont see me wastin my time feeling sorry for him nor do I care what he spends his money on. -- Edited by lukeblaze at 03/27/2009 8:30 AM PDT

Floyd'd not marketing himself. He's making an ass out of himself. Blowing 30k on a B-ball game and having all your property repossessed is not an effective marketing strategy. Its the act of an immature and not very intelligent man who has little or no business savvy. No one is hating on him. They're telling it like it is. He don't measure up to the real legends of the sport in accomplishment and looks like a fool when talking smack calling out smaller guys. If he was really as good as people say he is he could fight and beat just about anyone. I wonder if history would have been kind to Robinson if he had retired at 40-0. Boxing fans would have missed out on some of the greatest fights of all time. -- Edited by GunRunner2 at 03/27/2009 8:19 AM PDT

Pathetic is the only word I can come up with. Thats why I made a point to point it out yesterday. No matter what the topic, they will find away to bring their favorite conversation up. But it is what it is. I will continue to do me. There enough sensible people like you and I to have dialougue with.

luke But look at the immature and childish cats that get caught up in it. Bogadingo creates a new Floyd every day. Carquilb can't believe that someone could be a fan of both Mayweather and Pacquiao. Then you got other cats whose sole purpose here seems to be to bring up and then denigrate a particular fighter. It'd be laughable if if wasn't so pathetic. -- Edited by CT3 at 03/27/2009 6:56 AM PDT

Im not saying that they dont despise him. But like in the Hatton fight, Hattons fan came in support of Ricky Hatton. If I saw a drunk Hatton fan at Mayweather/Mosley fight just to hate on Mayweather instead of enjoying a good fight I would think something is wrong with them. Floyd plays off that hate and into the image and is very successful at it. I give him props for it but at the same time Floyd has fans in the african american and "hip hop communities".

Luke, If you've been paying attention, you'd see those massive, foreign fanbases that support Manny, Calzaghe, & Hatton...pretty much DESPISE Floyd Mayweather.

I think anyone who would come to a fight to root against a guy really needs to save their money. Seriously unless he was fighting one of their fav fighters. Floyd has many people who like him as well as hate him and some are ambivalent but respect his skill. Especially in the african american communities and "hip hop" communities. No one is better than Floyd. I believe what Floyd has done is pretty remarkable considering its easier for people like Manny, and hatton and Calzaghe to get a whole country behind them when boxing is way more popular over ther than it is here in America. In America, boxing competes with too many other sports and now MMA.

Fritzie Zivic was a legendary dirty fighter....& Sandy Saddler was also considered dirty. They actually mastered the art of fighting dirty. They were sneaky, & able to hide their little "tricks". Golota, on the other hand, was hilariously blatant- Head down, firing COMBOS into the foe's sack. -- Edited by jabsRstiff at 03/27/2009 5:31 AM PDT

Nah, I didn't agree with 99% of that list either. I think that any fighter can fight dirty if he has to, or wants to,or when the occasion calls for it. Galota would definitely be close to #1 in my book, and Hatton I think is about right too. Margarito, even after this latest thing with his wraps, I don't think is a dirty fighter, just a tough, physical-type fighter.

Nice video pug. Of those, Golotta should have been first but historically, with the exception of Golotta-cuz he's just an idiot-none of those guys would even make my list. You wanna talk about literally dirty? While Duran was shedding the 30+ pounds to make LW & WW, he literally went into the fight dirty. He wouldn't shower for a couple weeks before the fight while he was sweating out all that fat! Now that's dirty!! He wasn't exactly clean as far as tactics either. The guy who made this video hasn't been around too long!! LOL!
