Fast Eddie Decisions Dimintrenko

Eddie Chambers put on a very nice performance to take Dimitrenko's O tonight. He's definitely among the 2 or 3 most talented fighters in the division with some very nice hands, a solid beard, and more than enough grit to hang with the bigger guys. He even showed up with something resembling abs tonight! I don't know if he'll unseat Klitschko (should that fight even happen), but he'll make some very nice matchups with some of the other top HWs. I look forward to seeing him again.

Dimintrenko actually showed some very respectable handspeed of his own and a decent arsenal, but seemed to lack the pop and the workrate to keep Chambers at bay. Two judges got it right and the other was smoking some major crack with an even score.

as i watched that i fight as noticed that whenever chambers let his hands go he was killing povetkin... a rematch with chambers in better shape will show you who is the better fighter

They've backed off that a little recently. They said if their mother OK'd it, they might would do it. Hopefully Mama Klitschko lets big bruh kick lil bruh's ass.

If only boxing was just a game and not something where the objective is to hit your opponent. They could duke it out like the Williams sisters did in the Wimbledon Finals.

Hitking,

They stated many times that they will NEVER face each other............ but in a dream fight, I have Vitali by KO!

It's sad when the no.1 and no.2 HWT in the world don't face each other........ and it doesn't help when there are no legitimate contenders to them.........

Which is why the boxing public should be demanding Klitschko-Klitschko.

Looks like Haye/Vitali and Arreola/Wladimir soon............ Maybe Povetkin, Chambers, Valuev should face each other in the meantime.............

The better fighter until the rematch happens and Chambers avenges his loss. But until then, your point is well taken.

sk, I'll have to see if I can dig anything up on Solis via Youtube. At the moment, I've seen nothing from him. What I'd expect sight unseen, is that Johnson easily beats anybody in the division who isn't Arreola, Chambers or Klitschko and of those four I would only pick Wlad to win with confidence.

I would LOVE to see Johnson/Arreola. I think that is a fantastic matchup. Unfortunately, I haven't really seen The King Pin tested by anyone as yet, so it's hard to get an idea of just how good he is, but everything I've seen thus far points to VERY good.

Hope someone posts that fight on Youtube, damnit! X-(

Croatian,

After re-watching a fight, that I NEVER wanted to re-visit again; your point has been proven. Chambers is the more skilled boxer between the 2.

HOWEVER, you can't use the excuse that Chambers wasn't throwing back because he was overweight and tired. Aside from his latest win against Alexander, he's come in:

223 against Samuel Peters
221 against Cisse
219 against Castillo
217 against Butler
219 against Povtekin.

Maybe because Povetkin's constant pressure, and Chambers inability to hurt Povetkin played a factor in it? I'm gonna leave it as:

Chambers is the more skilled boxer; but Povetkin is the better fighter.

He didn't have control of the fight, but it shows he is the more skilled fighter. Povetkin didn't land anything like that all night.

You can't argue that point convincingly. Povetkin won, end of story. Is he better? Hell no.

Just because they didn't SHOW any of Povetkin's punches, doesn't mean he didn't land.......... they showed Chambers punches, cause they were the best punches landed in the round........ that doesn't mean Chambers had control of the fight........ cause that's far from the truth

Check Post 49, the german television couldn't replay anything that Povetkin was landing. All Chambers.

That should tell you everything about the first four rounds.

Croatian,

I just re-watched the first 4 rounds; and I gave Chambers 3 outta the first 4 rounds. Chamber landed the more clean/accurate shots upstairs, but Povetkin was landing good body shots throughout those 4 rounds also.

By no means did it seem like Chambers was gonna win an easy UD against Povetkin as you mentioned earlier......... nobody had real control of the fight after 4 rounds.

I gotta say this, Chambers' probably landed his best punch against Povetkin (Right hand); and Povetkin kept moving forward, and punching..........
