I would have to say that some of the stuff Carlin said in his comedy made sense. The difference is, he did it in a comedic way that wasn't so offensive to people who didn't believe the way he did. I especially liked his bit about the ten commandments.

Are you going to start talking about the plains of existence? Or the rays of life...something like that I forget....Maybe the Ascended Masters or the 7 Chakra? This is going to get really if the Eastern beliefs start to clash with the Western beliefs.

The Universe is a series of "classrooms" where we learn to advance to higher levels of thought and form. We divest ourselves of Divine Knowledge in order to teach the flesh the way back to the creator. In other words, it is better that we learn to become One with God rather than God just creating us with this capacity in the first place. The Great Creation of the Universe is not Life itself but that of Free Will. This path of return to God or the Source of All Life is known as "Ascension." The challenges in life are lessons. The purpose is to overcome the limitations of our current state of "density" in order to move to the next level. There are may interpretations of the amount of levels and their meanings.
Overall I believe religion is a divider.

Crusty isn't any better then the accusation he throws at people, that can easily be discerned with all his nonsense.
When you see Crusty throw out accusations, you can be sure he's describing himself to the "T".
I figured that out pretty quick. It was right about the same time I figured out he didn't know shit.
