hbo ring announcers....

i don't want to talk badly about hbo, they bring us alot of good fights. BUT lampley and letterman make me want to shoot myself sometimes, neither of them seem to know much about boxing, and they like stupid catch phrases WAAY too much, sometimes i have to mute them, which means u can't hear the punches connecting. Letterman is slightly better imo, and i like it when emmanuel steward or Lennox are on, and max kellerman is hit or miss when he's on there....am i the only one who feels this way?

Yes they were....and all the time they were doing it, DeLaHoya's eyes, and face were getting red, and bruised from the shots he was taking from "tune-up" Forbes !

In the DeLaHoya fight they were blowing DeLaHoya. I've heard people complain about them blowing up HBO fighters but usually its people complaing about their favorite fighter who lost and I don't pay much attention.

But in the FOrbes fight it was downright retarded how they were talking about how great DeLahoya looked. No different than blowing up Cotto in the fight against Gomez. Other than that. I don't have a problem with them. Kellerman is my favorite. For never steeping in a ring he is a true fan of the sport and seems he is a student of game.

Lampley does excellent play by play. Merchant is an egotistical old fogie who thinks he knows everything. He is like that because he is a writer and writers think they are mini gods and their perspective is fact and unbias when reality is that it is not.

They're not any better, or worse than any other network's commentators.

In my opinion, when a team of ringside reporters have a professional, or former professional boxer present, it gives the whole team some credibility, and at least someone will know just WTF they're talking about.

HBO has Lennox Lewis, which helps them alot. I also liked it back when Ray Leonard, and Roy Jones, Jr. worked the fights.
