I'm changing my pick, I now have Hatton beating Pacquiao

For these reasons:

Strength wise, Hatton will be stronger, so pushing him around coming forward is out of question. That would leave Pacquiao with getting on his toes and trying to box as he did against Delahoya. As good as Pac looked in that fight, it was largely due to what was wrong with Oscar then what was right with Manny.

Manny isn't a good technical boxer, he has speed but no defense like a Mayweather. One thing we know that can hurt Hatton is counter punching. Can Manny counter punch effectively against Hatton? I doubt it.

And if he tries to just come forward and bully Ricky, can you seriously say that he can do any better then a Kostya Tszyu, who is a MUCH bigger puncher then Pacquiao and a overall stronger jr.welterweight.

So he can't outbox him to a 12 round decision because he lacks the technical boxing skills and defense/discipline. He can't hurt Pacman by being the stronger, more powerful puncher because he isn't (Kostya Tszyu, a bigger puncher couldn't do it) and he can't counter punch the way Floyd did and knock him out.

What does that leave him with?

Perhaps we can get bigtime fixed up with fangfan or nerdybooboo, then they won't be clogging the forums with verbosity. ;)

I have absolutely no problem at all with posters who have more than 18,000 posts.

And neither have I any problem with beginners who only have a few... :O

LordNose, the best way for you to IGNORE these guys who get busted for using "ALTS", as suggested by your leader of sorts CT3, and since most of you like Gluvs, fit the description so well, is to bury your heads in the sand like a two-toed fast-running bird with a long bare neck, small head, and fluffy drooping feathers.

youre opinion is very well respected but i still stand by mine,Pretty boy does not have the experience, the better fights and tougher rounds as JMM,He cherry picks his opponents, and he proved it once more, everyone else has been calling him out for the longest of time and we have heard silence from him,JMM calls him out and he jumps very quickly,he is overconfident about the matchup and my boy JMM will get his respect from him....

:::::::::::::::::::::I pulled that fight out of my library last night and watched it again. I've seen it maybe a half dozen times, and thought to myself, "McClellan is some kind of fighter", and he was. But now, after reading about him, the stuff I've never heard before about his antics with dog fighting, and what he used pet shop dogs for, hell, he was still an awsome fighter, but an asshole, and a miserable human being for his cruelty to animals.

I do feel for him, and his family. His life has been hell since, and will be for years to come. He's suffered as much as any of the dogs he's tortured, and let die, and I'm sure there have been times when he's wished he could be in a dirt hole right along side the dogs.

It's a sad story for sure.::::::::::::::::::::::::

Loads of respect to Roy Jones Jr. who would donate piece of his purse in certain fights to McClelland and his family for expenses...

I'm a JMM fan, but I just don't see how this fight is anything but a by-the-numbers win for Floyd. Marquez is a gifted all-round technician with tons of heart, but he doesn't have that single asset that stands out as an effective anti-Floyd weapon. No size, reach or power advantage. No speed advantage. His defense is definitely not as rigid. I think his workrate at 130/135 would be a lot for Floyd to handle at this stage, but I doubt he can afford to stay that busy at 144 himself and he's several years OLDER than Floyd. Well past his prime for a smaller man...

Every advantage goes to Floyd in this fight except for the time off, but we're talking about 1 1/2 years for a guy who normally fought twice a year. It counts for something, but it's not that big a deal. I have always thought Floyd was/is beatable at welter (Mosley, Williams), but I think he makes this fight look easy. As good as JMM is, he's getting up there and he's no welter.

"Dinamita" (Dynamite) that is what JMM goes by and he has proved it throughout many battles. Yes he has an age disadvantage as well as coming up on wght. for his upcoming match w/Pretty boy,but dont forget JMM can very easily accomodate to his opponent,he has great head, body, and feet movmnt, and he called Pretty boy out,JMM def has a plan for the match and will be prepared the worst,he has been in the deepest of battles and has come out on top,so dont underestimate the heart of a champion, this reminds me of the Chavez/Taylor match,Chavez was the underdog and shocked the world, this may very well happen again, and for cherry picking Floyd well what can I say he better come prepared bcause this is going to be his toughest fight yet....
