Mayweather-Pacquiao...How will they bill it?

[Replies: 42]
Not if, but almost certainly when, Mayweather-Pacquiao becomes reality instead of just fantasy, what kind of promotional angle will the promoters give the fight? Will they call it "Money versus Manny", "Pound For Pound", "Best versus Beast", "Undisputed Pound For Pound Showdown", or something of the like?

Luke, Arum's not only a douchebag, he's also a cash whore. The fight will be made eventually.

I thought that movie was Hilarious.....

BTW: Will Arnett - Absolutely Hilarious in EVERYTHING he does. No one plays the likeable dumbass, like he does.

Good stuff IMO.

the fight will happen -- too much money not to, Floyd did not come out of retirement to not fight for the biggest money possible -- if not for his bank account, for the IRS.

But strong egos in the promotional company, the fighters themselves ... this is going to be a very very contentious negotiation ... maybe not Lewis-Tyson agonizing since there is no TV network conflict ... but very very difficult ...

Is this fight really a certainty. Bob Arum is a douchbag. Hopefully in the end the money calls. because there is too much money to be made in this fight to let a split be the difference in the fight.

Also I doubt Manny fights Floyd at 147. What will be the catchweight?

In a pre-fight ad photo of both fighters facing each other;
Manny says: "I came, I saw, I conquered!"
Floyd: "I came, I saw, I ran!"
