FLOYD MAYWEATHER SR.: "IT'S NOT GOING TO BE A WALK IN THE PARK FOR LIL FLOYD" "I thought Oscar did very well and it's enough to see that it's not going to be a walk in the park for Lil Floyd? He comes back to me for the Forbes fight and you see how relaxed he was and didn't get tired or nothing and he was throwing a lot of punches. He is going to be throwing a lot of punches against Lil Floyd too and he going to have that jab working," stated world-renowned trainer Floyd Mayweather Sr. as he talked about Oscar De La Hoya's win over Steve Forbes last weekend. Check out what else he had to say about Oscar's performance and what improvements he needs to make for his anticipated rematch with Mayweather Jr. later this year. read more http://www.fighthype.com/pages/content2633.html -- WWW.FIGHTHYPE.COM A FIGHT IS A FIGHT

Everything you hear and read from here on out will be smoke and mirrors from fast talkin sidewinders tryin' to sell you some snake oil. The rematch has far less potential than the first fight and I don't see it doing even half the numbers of the first fight. The first fight was a bomb. No one with any sense is going to buy into that again.

Everything you are saying is correct. The reason why their first fight was so successful is because you have the best boxer in the sport who now is the most recognizable boxer in the world next to the one he fought in DeLaHoya. Hard core fans, mainstream and fair weather fans. That equaled to 2.4 million PPV purchases. The ones who have no interest in this fights are the real fans. The ones who know other boxers besides DeLahoya and Mayweather. Mayweather has a small following and DeLahoya definately has a following that will purchase this fight on GP purposes alone. The fight that DeLahoya had with Forbes could of did 500 to 600K alone just because DeLahoya was fighting. Mayweather and DeLahoya could only do half of their first fight and it will be blockbuster. Its a sad reality but its true.

Luke, it seems like a case of trying to make something out of nothing. When there is no interest in a fight, they have to try to come up with justification for having another bout and the two people that want it most want the pay day for it. I wouldn't mind seeing it on HBO but for PPV I got screwed the first time and I'd have to develop some mental issue to get suckered in a second time. It's either free or nothing and even then, I really have no interest in seeing the fight. The Forbes comparisons come from his style I guess and the Mayweather connection, but there really is a gap in the talent/speed and pretty much every other component to Forbes and Mayweather. The one thing I can say is Oscar's face didn't look that good after the fight. Forbes hit him quite a bit. Oscar did however look better against Forbes conditioning wise and he did look more relaxed, but some of those things could be attributed to his opponent having very little power which kept more in the tank.

It seem like it doesn't it. Seriously though it will probably happen but I'm so sick of how people are trying to compare what DelaHoya did against Forbes to what he'd do to Mayweather. Why does his team keep trying to make the fans believe that. When he fights Mayweather again he'll do the same thing against Mayweather that he did last time. I feel the beating will actually be worse Sr. or no Sr.

I was reading the article and I noticed that Floyd Sr. said that Floyd was calling out Oscar, the strange part about it is that Floyd hasn't signed anything, there's no agreement in place either, I'm under the impression that it's more Oscar calling out Floyd than Floyd calling out Oscar but who knows?
