Let's be real then and leave Berto out of the conversation shall we. He's a not-ready-for-prime-time fighter and will continue to build himself on the likes of Luis Collazo, Isaac Hlatswayo and Selcuk Aydin, perhaps even Carlos Quintana. Berto and his management know he's not ready to step up to the likes of Mosley, Mayweather, Cotto or Pacquiao, and he really shouldn't because he's not ready for any of them quite yet, if ever. Berto has good natural gifts, but hasn't yet shown great versatility and ring intelligence, especially in finishing a outmatched foe such as Juan Urango. Berto's star may some day shine, but not quite as brightly as some may think, and perhaps not as soon as some may hope.

I think Mayweather and JMM is a boring Match this two fighters is the same style both of them is a counter puncher. Make mah word. No one knockdown in this fight, this fight this will go 12 rounds and some more split decision or maybe Draw just like your watching a sparring without boxing mask. Hik Hik Hik. Maybe you?re like watching a drama series our Running around in the ring. You?re your watching a dance show. No Offence Guys but lets talk about real!!!! Cotto and Pacman this is very exiting they are both Fighter this fight stop @ 6 round but I don?t know who win this guys are bot Tiger in the ring. Exiting ?

If Marquez loses to Mayweather he still has plenty of options. He will still be the lightweight champ, and a fight with Valero would draw a lot of interest. He could choose to vacate that title and step up to 140, and basically do what he's done at lightweight. And that's fight the top fighters that Pacquaio isn't, which could put him in line for what he ultimately wants, and that's a third fight with Pac. While a win over Mayweather would be career defining, a loss wouldn't kill him. The only fighter that will be in the ring that night that's finish if he loses in Floyd "Money" Mayweather.

Mayweather vs Marquez Because, what if: 1]. September 19th, 2009 ~ JMM vs Floyd. ~ JMM wins? 2]. November 20th, 2010 ~ JMM vs Manny ~ JMM wins? Who becomes ?The Greatest Ever? on November 21st, 2010? 1]. Floyd ~ NO! 2]. Manny ~ NO! 3]. JMM ~ YES! Floyd is looking at JMM as a ?tune-up? for the big one with Manny. ~ BIG MISTAKE!!! A win for JMM on September 19th is a prelude to ?The Fight of the Century? ~ Pacquiao vs JMM III !!! A much bigger fight than Pacquiao vs Mayweather, simply because JMM has a better chance of winning, he?s fought him twice and some think he may have beaten Pacquiao at least once. It?s all about MONEY for Floyd ~ but for JMM it's about ~ LEGACY! JMM beating Mayweather and Pacquiao is the same as if someone beat Henry Armstrong and Sugar Ray Robinson ~ INCREDIBLE! What????????????????????? Are you dreaming I Agree that JMM is a very good fighter but if your saying that JMM beat Pacman in Lightweight or Welterweight i think its like your are Dream? in. Are you Okay????? Pacman is so strong on that weight. JMM cannot sustain the power of PACMAN on the division. Come on Be true to your self lets talk about REAL Okay..

I think Marquez has a great opportunity to test himself, he said he wanted to fight the best, he called out Mayweather, Mayweather answered, it's an excellent fight. Worst case scenario for Marquez he loses to Mayweather. Many fighters have rebounded from losing to champion caliber fighters. How you can go from hero to zero with a loss is beyond me unless it's something devastating. I think Marquez already defies the odds by the way he trains, the skill he has, and how he doesn't show his age in the ring. I think Marquez has more options than people think even with the loss. A loss to Mayweather isn't the worst thing in the world considering he's undefeated and has fought quality opponents. If anything Marquez comes out looking good for taking the challenge and hopefully setting himself up for a comfortable retirement when he's ready!

If he loses to Mayweather he would of have lost. Marquez doesnt have to exit until he is good and ready. There are plenty challenges out there for him if he cant Pacquiao because he is entangled with Mayweather. Timothy Bradley which I think he would have a good chance of winning, Ricky Hatton is always an options and he is going to comeback. Maybe Pacquiao at a later date after he beats or loses to Mayweather.

You've got to be joking ~ right? You've got it all ass backwards! THE TRUTH IS. . . . . FMM DOES NOT NEED TO FIGHT MAYWEATHER AS A WAY TO GET A FIGHT WITH PACQUIAO. HE ALREADY HAS UNFINISHED BUSINESS WITH PACQUIAO, AND IT WILL BE SETTLED REGARDLESS OF WHAT HAPPENS ON SEP 19TH ~ THE TWO ARE NOT CONNECTED. ON THE OTHER HAND, FLOYD NEEDS TO WIN [AS MANY EXPECT HE WILL] AGAINST FMM ~ BUT, I BELIEVE FLOYD IS UNDERESTIMATING THE POWER OF "HEART" AND FOR THAT ~ HE WILL LOSE!

A man has to know his limits, even if he refuses to believe them. Mayweather will show Marquez that he's attempting to exceed his, and hopefully he'll see for himself. Is it more than just about money for Marquez? Sure, his pride has been a huge motivator for him and surely redemption at the hands of Pacquiao plays into it as well. But if and when Marquez tastes defeat at the hands of Mayweather, he should realize that his highest of hopes have been dashed and that he'll no longer be a major player in the company he seeks. At that point he should develop a exit strategy from the sport, unless he eases into a promotional position in GBP. -- Stay Thirsty My Friends!

Sometimes its not the power of a punch but the volume. Mayweather has a decent punch but Marquez takes too many punches. The speed and power of the bigger Mayweather will be too much for Marquez. I don't see Floyd throwing many counterpunchable punches. With reach, speed, and Power in his favor, Marquez has a tallmountain to climb. -- "Every man has the right to his own opinion, but no man has the right to be wrong in his facts." Unknown
