Calzaghe = slappy and Martinez = sloppy? :-D

Their styles are quite reminiscent of each other's.

I certainly was not impressed by Martinez in the Cintron fight. He was sloppy as hell....but I have seen too often what can happen when sloppiness is used effectively.

By me saying it was controversal, I was trying to imply that it should have been rules a KO. But after that, Martinez seemed to letdown and IMO, let Cintron get back in and make it very close.

I just think Martinez is more style than substance. He showboats a lot and makes people think he's better than he actually is. He could surprise me though. He better not take his foot off the gas midway through the fight. I'm taking Dub by a late stoppage regardless.

The person that knockdown was controversial for was Cintron because he thought he got butted or something.

Means nothing to me.

The guy has a goofy, poor-man's Calzaghe kind of style that I think will bother PW.

He won't beat PW, but will make him uncomfortable.

He not only could. He did. Just some really poor judges didn't see it that way.

I think I actually scored that fight for Cintron. I didn't think Martinez did anything after the controversal KD/KO.

Martinez beat Kermit convincingly. I agree that Williams spanks him, though.

Martinez couldn't even beat Cinton. P-Dub steamrolls him.

Kelly Pavlik is a bigger and better fighter than Martinez, but I bet Sergio gives PW a rougher night than Pavlik would have. His speed, southpaw stance, and really awkward style is more of a puzzle than that of Pavlik's- who is Mr. Conventional.

There will probably be better and cheaper seats available....
