I have no problem with the hitman, but he spanned the equivalent of 3 major titles. WW MW LHW. his 4th major title would have been at HW. And at LHW lost his title in his first defense to Iran Barkley. I think he gave it up the first time he won it from andreis to fight at sMW. He is not in the running. 4 major titles. Flyweight , bantamweight, featherweight, lightweight. Now, yes D Diaz's ability can be questioned, but Pacman just got to LW. we don't know what will happen, so to judge him solely on diaz is dumb. once he fights a few fights at LW and a guy like Casamayor, then the chapter can be written on pacman. This was the whole artgument I made. No one has done that after winning the 4th major. Usually they retire, or extrememly carefully select one opponent, who may not even be in the same weight division, but one lower and fights them. I see no reason to get upset by seeing him do this. some do unfortunately. they are not boxing fans. -- I came I saw and I conquered -- I came I saw and I conquered

If you are just going to respond with condescension in lieu of an argument, I see no reason to respond to you anyways. Hell, I see no reason to even read your posts. You say nothing worth reading anyways. Those of us who do respond to you are humoring you. Maybe one day you will realize this and adopt a bit more humility. -- HBO, LETS SEE THE ROUND CARD GIRLS AGAIN!!!! Obama 2008

carqi Sugar Ray Robinson surpasses all other fighters throughout history and today because he defeated more of his contemporaries who were themselves, great fighters than ANY OTHER FIGHTER. enough on this subject, if you don't understand, sorry. -- HBO, LETS SEE THE ROUND CARD GIRLS AGAIN!!!! ROFLMAOOOOOOOO Strawweight came about in the late 80s BTW. I refer back to this advice to you. "Rather than be wrong and look like you don't know what you are talking about, wouldn't it be easier to just admit that Tommy Hearns won 5 titles in five weight classes? Hell, you could even argue that Pacquaio did the same if you count his fight with Barrera. " You seem to be making up your own criteria for measuring Pacquaio's greatness rather than criteria that is universally accepted and are shocked to learn that people disagree with you. -- Edited by Fudo_Maiyo at 07/09/2008 11:00 PM PDT

Seriously. First you cosign a statement, then try in vain to say why it isn't correct. Next you, don't count Hearns winning a title at 154 (which he won by beating Wilfred Benitez) because it wasn't a major title? But you credit Pacquaio with a title he never won (bantamweight) rather than a title he did win (Jr. lightweight). Rather than be wrong and look like you don't know what you are talking about, wouldn't it be easier to just admit that Tommy Hearns won 5 titles in five weight classes? Hell, you could even argue that Pacquaio did the same if you count his fight with Barrera. -- HBO, LETS SEE THE ROUND CARD GIRLS AGAIN!!!! Obama 2008

i didi it. but I always had H armstron as the measuring stick. No shame there. what MP has done is out done by H armstrong. This is like saying that only the BABE was a better hitter in baseball history than so and so. -- I came I saw and I conquered

thats too bad. I am glad i caught it. i will see his next fight too. he is the only guy in the history of boxing to span 5 divisions and actually try to fight people in the 5th division he has spanned. all others have gone into semi retirement or fought blown up fighters from other divisions. pacman tops sugar ray leonards victory over donny lalonde for the lhw title. and rays's phoney LHW title was fought for at under the limit.: 167lbs. lalonde fought beneath his weight and put up his title. -- I came I saw and I conquered ok, this is the post that bothers you? i will change it. all other except henry armstrong still a great achievement -- I came I saw and I conquered -- Edited by cargilb1 at 07/09/2008 10:10 AM PDT
