Yes you're right, that's the only problem on JMM, he loves the canvas very much. I agree with you! Diaz needs to move his head side by side in order to avoid Pacman's speedy boom. He can't last 12 rounds with Pacman's agressiveness.

I think Morales beat him by 2 points but its the past now. The future is Diaz who isn't in the same league as Marquez. I think that this fight will look more like Lacy/Calzaghe. The naturally stronger and bigger man will just be beat up by the faster man. Diaz Doesn't have enough speed. -- Do you smell what Barack is cookin? tan.the.man24@hotmail.com

I too thought Morales beat Diaz last August, but it was in Diaz' hometown, and in the end we shouldn't be surprised by a hometown decision, even though it was close and not so deserving of protestation.

So true, but Eric wasn't running either, he beat Pacman very smart in the first fight. Pacman trainer Roach figure him out and had a different out come on the next two. What I saw with Eric he didn't pack- on any muscle or stamina, this is where he fell short. And got beat easily.

Certainly, David Diaz have the advantage in the size factor against Pacman. However, based on his match-up against Erik Morales, his face really got busted up and looked like he got hit by a bus, but Morales didn't last the full distance against Pacman...

The Spliffed One basically hates anyone who challenges Floyd's P4P status. We get it. Come out of the closet already.

I don't even like David Diaz one bit, but I believe he'll come out victorious against Pacman because he's too big for him and throws many punches. Pacmans power wont be as effective as it was in Jr. LW. He struggled in his last fight with Marquez, and in my eyes he lost. Not to mention he couldn't even KO Barrera in the rematch. The Pacman that beat Morales and Barrera(in 2004) has lost his focus on boxing because he is an Idol in the Philipines. Pacman hasn't looked impressive since the Morales fight, Im excluding the Solis fight even though he won by KO because even then he didn't impress me, the KO came because Solis showed fear and too much respect for Pacman. Pacman is under estimating Diaz and thinks it will be easy but he's in for a big surprise. That is why I chose David Diaz to win. -- Edited by thespliffed1 at 05/14/2008 8:28 PM PDT

"Likewise, I wasn't quite impressed with Pacman's recent victory over Marquez. If only Marquez didn't have this bad habit of hitting the canvas everytime he fights against Pacman, he would have won the decision"... If Michael Spinks hadn't got knocked out by Mike Tyson he might have been World Champ again.

"This guy Gamboa shouldn't get too ambitious and should continue to fight whichever tomato cans they wanted him to fight, till he'll attain fame and a name for himself. For now, he's just a virtual nobody unworthy to fight the current world title-holders"... Every once in a while some young hot shot comes along who thinks he's got the goods to be World Champ and pays his dues accordingly. It happened to Cintron, Brock, Litzau, Bautista and countless fighters throughout the years.

NEWS FLASH Gamboa wants Pacman's belt! When unbeaten super featherweight phenomenon Yuriorkis Gamboa (9-0, 8 KOs) steps into the ring against Darling Jimenez (23-2-2, 14 KOs) this Saturday in Primm, Nevada, it will not only be the HBO debut of the Cuban Olympic gold medallist, but also his chance to win the WBC international championship, the title laid down by Manny Pacquiao before "Pacman" seized the WBC world title from Juan Manuel Marquez on March 15th. "Of course, it is a great honor to fight for this belt," states Gamboa. "Especially as this in only my tenth professional fight. I am glad that my performances so far have convinced the sanctioning bodies to put me very high in the ratings and I am willing to prove that I am the best boxer in the world." Gamboa is rated #3 in the WBA and #4 in the WBC rankings. "I know that Jimenez is a tough opponent," continued Gamboa, "but I also know that to be the best you have to beat the best. And that is what I will do. After winning the WBC international title I will try to get my hands on the belt Pacquiao's wearing right now. Though I hope that he doesn't put it down so I will have the chance to take it from him in the ring." Tuesday, May 13 2008 ------------------------------------------------------- You have to admire Gamboa for wanting to get in there with Pacquiao. It's not going to happen I know. Still I wouldn't mind seeing that battle after he has another 4 or 5 fights.
