Shane Mosley says he wants Margarito. SHANE MOSLEY: "I WANT MARGARITO" "I go after the best fighters and it doesn't matter who it is. When Mayweather was on top before he retired, I wanted Mayweather. Margarito's the one on top; he's the best welterweight out there right now. I want Margarito. I love the challenge and I've always been that one. I've always been competitive. I've always wanted to be the best so if he's the best fighter out there, then I'm going after him." Even though it was a press conference for his fight with Mayorga, it seemed like he talked more about Margarito. He talks more about Mayorga and fighting Margarito: SHANE MOSLEY: "EVERYBODY'S GOING TO GET THEIR MONEY'S WORTH" -- WWW.FIGHTHYPE.COM A FIGHT IS A FIGHT

Ohhhhh, I haven't posted in a couple weeks and don't recognize his username. If he hates black people there's a 270 lb black guy down here in Nashville who would love to give him a real reason to hate us. I love racist. They tend to hate me cause they ain't me.

If you don't think Mosley had a prime you should check out his career as a lightweight. Cuz was a flat out beast. He will go down as a Top 10, if not Top 5 all-time lightweight. Now as for his career after that, it was pretty mediocre. Yeah, he won titles at welterweight and 154, but the he beat de la Hoya for both those titles and never beat another great fighter at the higher weights. That's why he won't go down as an all-time P4P great, but there's no denying what he did at lightweight.

Shane never really had a prime, think about it. he never had that real over-the-top fight even when he faced Oscar the first time. -- "Just Words, Just Speaches!" ~Blowbama 09!

I give much respect to Shane. I think at one point he would have beat Margarito fairly easily. However I don't think he wants Margarito now. Mosley should be thinking about his life after boxing. One thing I can say is This would be a good Measuring stick for both at this point. They both can take a good punch for the most part. Mosley is only out gunned when he fights a taller man with a good jab. Margarito is tall but a jab isn't something you'd have to worry about coming from him. if the fight happened I wouldn't mind watching it. -- Do you smell what Barack is cookin? tan.the.man24@hotmail.com

I watched that fight with my dad and when he beat the snot out of Diaz my dad was like, that's just not fair who's going to be able to beat this guy? A few fights later we got our answer. If Shane would have just beaten Six Heads, his career might have turned out differently. -- "How sturdy is Margarito's chin? Chuck Norris would break his hand if he hit Margarito on the whiskers.

Shane switched to southpaw, & finsihed Diaz off with a right hook. At the time (even though Diaz was really a 140lber) I was thinking- "What can't this S.O.B. do ?"

CT In his fights again Diaz, Shane looked like a killer.>> No doubt! But I remember that he slowed down in the 4th. side note: I was sitting behind Diaz' family and they were pretty distraught about the outcome of that fight. Shane released a flurry of punches near the end that I've watched a hundred times...and I still can't count the number of punches he threw. He was just that fast.

If > Mosley were younger, Cotto doesn't make it to the > 12th. > Margarito isn't gonna fade, & will make Mosley work > k harder in those early-mid rounds than Cotto did. I thought so too, and I was so pissed b/c I felt that if Mosley stepped it up in the last few rounds, specially the 12th he could have won. Mosley did NOTHING in the 12th. It maybe his age showing, but I don't think he could beat Margarito at this point. CT In his fights again Diaz, Shane looked like a killer. -- "How sturdy is Margarito's chin? I thought so too especially when he fought Oscar DeLaHoya.>>> I've been a fan of Shane for a long time and noticed him do that over the years. I was damn near ringside when he fought Antonio Diaz and he even did it in that bout. Jack Mosley once told reporters that Shane is usually pretty amped to fight at the onset and usually has to settle down a bit after the first few rounds. But then he typically closes stongly.
