TV Shows 2009

Since the old TV shows thread was archived, I thought I'd start a new one.

And well, since last night was the (2nd) season premier of True Blood...you know damn well I'll talk about it.

Well...not too much...For 90% of the episode I was rather disapointed. It seemed to be steering the "Soap Opera" way, and I was a bit bored. THEN in the last 5 minutes...Erik "The 1000 year old Viking" Northam changed my entire view of the first episode. Erik is the shit, and one of my favorite characters on the show.

(Hard to believe this is the same guy who played one of Zoolander's airhead roommates that died in the gasoline spraying accident)..

...Good to see Lafayette is not dead.

My favorite Lafayette line was:

"Jesus and I agreed to see other people, now that don?t mean we don?t still talk from time to time"

Yeah Jason was definitely funny in last nights episode. I like his reaction when Hoyt's mom tried to ravage him, LMAO. And Bill said can anything make her calm down.

I especially like Andy now. The scene in the freezer when he said, "you know have the burden of being the one-eyed man." Sam looked at him and said I don't know what you're talking about. And he just said yeah I don't either and took another swig.

Oh what about the scene back at Lafayette's. "This has got to be the most fucked up intervention ever." After he slaps Tara then takes a swig off his wine. LMAO.

I'm actually excited now to find out the extent of Sookie's powers. The scene where Maryanne says, "What are you? Come back and do it again..." was a brief revelation.

I actually liked Bill this time. I mean he just wants everything to be normal, but it's not it just keeps getting crazier and he's forced to deal with it.

Great True Blood episode last night, I'm a bit disappointed that they're taking the Soprano's route lately without it going the full hour. We got screwed out of 15 minutes last night lol! I never expected to see Hoyt's mother crazy like that. Jason was hilarious, and I'm looking forward to next week's episode. Where Bill went to visit the Queen looked awesome, I want to see what she's like and what she has to say. I also am liking how the Vampires, humans, and shifters meaning Sam seem to all be on the same page about getting rid of Maryann! I also find Andy to be growing on me. I couldn't stand him in the first season but he's becoming more likable every episode.

"Sam...if what you say is true - we need to kill that bitch!" (((While holding a bottle of wine))) lol

Andy is growing on me , with each and every episode.....1/5 of the way through the episode now.

Another scene that killed me last night...

Bill: "Can you get her to calm down"

Hoyt: "Playing Wii gets her to focus, but I wouldn't call it calm"

Hoyt's Mom(Playing Wii): "I WILL BUST YOUR FUCKING HEAD OPEN, MOTHER FUCKER"

Last night episode was funny as shit.

While it may have been a bit of a let down from the previous two or three episodes, that was to be expected. It would be impossible to keep up that level of emotion, and tension... but it was great that even in a "blow off steam" type episode, they found a way to keep me thoroughly entertained.

Jason was funny as shit last night.

"I am the God who Comes"....

Sam: "Smite me motherfucker"

Jason: "I smite thee"

Barry Pepper is a name I don't hear as often as I keep thinking I should. Everything I've seen him in he's done well in, even if whatever it was didn't impress me as a whole. I really liked him in Knockaround Guys with Vin, Seth Green, Dennis Hopper & Malkovich.

Lafayette is awesome. I laughed my ass off at that line, but his response was even better than that, because of what the the waitress actually said...

Arlene said: "The sign on the door says ladies"...

and Lafayette said: "then what you two skank hoes doin' here?"

I also love the way he talks to Tara and Pam (the vampire lady that always kisses Eric's ass). Reading the Tarot cards to Tara: "Ohh shit Hooker you're in trouble".
