I saw it all Good night for fights. I liked was impressed with Countryman's heart. He got up from a right that clearly hurt him and he fought back. I think he's gotta watch out for that when in against finishers but I feel he could do okay. Kirkland is in for some trouble when he fights a boxer puncher that hits hard. He walked wildly into some shots. He took them well but he has to learned not to do that now.

finally back home! I know it is late but did anyone see Wednesday's fights. Joe Greene looked a bit Green to me. He has no Identity to me when he fights. He fights like he isn't sure if he can lead in a fight he has a great jab if he uses it but he decided to throw weak jabs that didn't score. I think he'll do well in the division until he reaches the top of it. I give him credit though he showed he can walk threw a good punch. Speaking of a good punch Julio did as expected against his INSANELY GAME OPPONENT! I couldn't believe the guy didn't quit I can honestly say I would have stayed down. I don't give Julio a A in this fight just because he showed some defensive flows. He reminds me alot of Felix Trinidad. They are alot in 2 ways. They have Awesome Power in both hands and they are both beatable because of there weakness to boxers. In any case I'm looking forward to Friday night fights.

On Telefutura I got to see another of the PR prospect, I can't think of his name but he goes by El Pollo. Dax talked about him in the past, but I had never seen him. From what I saw the guy seems to be a stinker. I don't think he'll make for good tv bouts.

I love Gonzalez, but the man looks totally shot. He was never a great talent to begin with, but I didn't think he had anything in his punches anymore. His reflexes, which were not great to begin with, are totally gone. He's basically a six foot tall punching bag.
I hope he has saved his money and starts doing something else. He had a good career and forever can say he's the first Mexican fighter to have held the light heavyweight title of the world.

sorry i'm late to the party i've been doing some traveling so i missed wednesday and friday night fights this week but i'll see it eventually. sounds like i missed a spectacular beating. does anyone here live in Texas? I'm traveling threw right now tommorow i'll be heading threw Louisiana and alabama then into the south and north carolina so keep me posted.

Cloud put some serious hurting on Gonzalez for real. Holy shit what kept him up. I thought it was going to be over in the first round. It would've been better for Gonzalez it if did. lol
I'd love to see Cloud in there with Dawson. Something tells me it won't happen. I can see a KO of the Year for Cloud in this one should they ever square off.

I agree. I said the same thing to some friends of mine. I saw that Darch was headed for a knockout and the next fight he was. He keeps his hands to low and plows in unprotected. I think we will see more of the same in the future.

that's one aspect of boxing I dont' like. When they throw the aging fighters in with the young prospect as a sacrifice. Sometimes it doesn't turn out as expected though. Ex: Leijas/Bojado

Christ, Gonzalez looked like he was fighting under water from round 1 tonight. Despite his resilient chin, he's a guy who brings next-to-nothing against an opponent like Cloud. Ten seconds into round 1, I felt like I was watching that scene in Jurrasic park where they lower the cow, via harness and straps, into the Raptor's pen.
If Gonzalez is allowed to fight again, a whole bunch of people need to be shot. He was a brave motherfucker, but who needs to see a veteran like that step in front of a train. Brave or not...

Man that fight on FNF was brutal. The ref should've stopped it at about the 6th round. Hell his freekin' corner should've thrown in the towel.
