Just a bit of fun, but if you were a professional boxer, what weight division would you fight in? I am currently on the light-welterweight limit.

> You were an amateur boxer at one time, right ? Yessir Pugs. In my younger years and for a few years while in service. Kept up sparring and training for awhile when I exited (the military). Now just trying to stay in shape best I can..... Sucks when you have a woman that keeps getting prettier with each passing year....and you have to struggle just to maintain a tight mid-section lol Jabs ... I'd kill to have that kind of metabolism at 39. hell...I'm sure it'll slow down on you - but at no point do I think you'll ever have to worry about being a fat ass. Then again ... being a fatass means different things to different people. I seen Biggies pic...and he's a straight fatass. I put on a few ounces in the mid section...and get a bit "emo" over it. lol -- "Success is to be measured not so much by the position that one has reached in life as by the obstacles which he has overcome." - Booker T. I don't know what happened but I always used to be able to eat and stay skinny, but I am 34 now and you know what they say. When you get older you start to grow the other way, wider instead of taller. I am seriously going on a diet though because with my body frame my ideal weight would be around 130 to 135 lbs. At least i am not > saying i can get down to welter. Ha, just messin with you dude. Wouldn't have even guessed you were that much at all. I'm 185 right now...scary possibility to think I'd be in the ring with dudes like Jean Marc Mormeck on David Haye.. fuck. 160-168 would be comfortable, but in top top shape and extreme weight cutting I could do 154. -- Edited by jme248 at 07/07/2008 4:50 PM PDT

I eat a ton, & am certainly a "social" drinker.....but I have been at this same weight for years. I'll be 39 in two months, & know this laser-beam metabolism isn't gonna stay so fast forever.

I walk around at 168 to 175, after training, I could easily get down to WW.

> no fried foods....Lots of Fruit ,Protein shakes and > LOTS OF BBQING. (instead of pan cooking or deep > frying). Man your life sucks. Back in my real heavy days...I got to be a super heavy... at about 288lbs Then I got down to 195lbs (I can probably get down to about 190lbs, but I'd have to chop off a leg to make 175lbs). Las summer I torn my left calf, and then my daughter was born so I put on some weight and I'm about 220lbs. And YES THERE IS SUCH A THING AS BIG BONES DAMMIT! Well, seriously though, I'm built like a Samoan Running Back. I'm a lot thicker in the lower body than in the upper body. Point in case, Last summer before tearing my calf, I was wearing size 33 pants and my weight was almost 200lbs (195-197)...I'm only 5'9". -- Edited by ffontan at 07/07/2008 12:35 PM PDT

> What weight division would you be in gluvs? before exiting the military - a solid Heavy (EASILY). Post military...on a new workout regimen now. High intensity..short time to complete it in...Kettle / Dumbells, Medicine Balls ... LOTS of Cardio and rope work. now I'm a VERY Lean Cruiser and on somedays a heavyweight (197-203 at any given time now). no fried foods....Lots of Fruit ,Protein shakes and LOTS OF BBQING.
