Believe it or not I actually called that homer by Feliz. I just knew he was gonna get a fastball down the pipe and he nailed it.
Good heads up play by Damon to steal two bases in the 9th.
Gut wrenching win by the Yanks. Great game right til the end.

this makes me wonder...in all of professional sports....who has been the most dominant? the patriots, the red wings, or the yankees? it seems like all 3 teams in the last 10 or so years are considered a failure each season if they DONT at least play for the title.

Pettite had a horrible second inning Bro. But at least he pulled it out in the later innings. And he got the hit to score runners which iced the deal.

Instant replay is restricted to Home Runs only. Instant replay started in 08, but that was the first time it was used.
Thoughts on this game: Andy Pettite had a quality start. He wasn't great by any means, but at least he made the Philly hitters reach after his lousy start if they wanted to make contact with the ball.
Cole Hamel on the other hand should have been honest with himself and his team. Not a single Yankee hitter had to reach or try an hit an inside pitch. Even Andy Pettite got a hit for COL.
Hamel is not a power guy..............he HAS to hit his spots.
Almost every pitch by Hamel that got hit tonight was pitched right over the fat part of the plate; so I disagree that Swisher got hot. The Phillies had a great chance to beat up on the Yankee's Andy Pettite and Cole Hamel squandered it and helped Andy Pettite settle down and make his own pitches.
Overall I thought the pitching was lousy for both teams especially the Phillies and the Yanks capitalized on that.
It was a big/huge win for the Yanks nonetheless.

I dont know if that was the first time or not but yeah. They used instant replay to see if the HR would have cleared the wall if the camera hadnt been in the way. Kinda like what they do when a fan interferes aint it?
