Yuriorkis Gamboa vs (25-0/16 ko's) Marcos Ramirez

Wow, this is unreal. I'm starting to become a real big fan of Gamboa for the competition he is taking on this early in his career. And now this guy.

LMAO. After sending Oscar on a losing streak he should be able to do wonders with Gamboa. Of course he still has the molding and shaping of the much maligned Hatton to contend with.

Maybe if he gets with Golden boy Promo. I could see the GBP+Gamboa = a taylor made fighter for Mayweather Sr. to work with...?:|

I see Oscar calling him now....

With all the experience Gamboa has if he hasn't developed a defense by now he ain't about to. He might learn some new tricks but as soon as he gets popped he's coming in swinging with his hands down trying to do what he does best. It's almost Mayorga like. He's got the balls. Some left hooker is going to take him down tho.

Even if he isn't defensively good he needs to be patient. If he learns to wait use his jab and then land a quick punch when his opponent reacts he'll be in good shape. He is way too aggressive and offensive minded.

"Nice Analogy. The problem is that he won't even have to be in there with a pit bull. His last fight showed that even a poodle can take a bite out of him."

I'll give Gamboa the benefit of the doubt, but I can see your points of view. We'll just have see how his style improves or not, defensively.

Goldenboy sees someone they can market and make a fortune over. It is true. Gamboa has the look and the style that can be sold as long as they put him in with puppies. After they make their money they'll put him in with a real fighter and he'll get eaten.
