Happy New Year, everyone!

It's going to be a cold, cold night here in NYC. Great night to stay in.

Speaking of Carla Gallo, she got the "Reader's Cheer of the Week" in the new TV Guide for her "sweet and sexy performance" in Californication.

Most shows you watch, most of the actors disappear and you never see them again. Not Carnivale!

Raising a toast (coffee right now) to all of you, and everyone who created Carnivale for us! Happy New Year!

How great to come here and find all the Carni Love and Christmas Love (or whatever holiday) from old and new friends. Hope you all have a wonderful New Year!

Enjoyed seeing Carla Gallo (Libby) in a Bones rerun this week. Always fun to see members of the family out and about.

Happy 2009! Love--Katie

We need a season 3 to tie up loose ends as we need a spring to follow winter.

So HBO bring it on... I command you!

LS - your explanation of Boxing Day is an almost perfect modern-day analogy of the original.

In English houses that depended on servants, the staff always had to work on Christmas, because of the parties, dinners, etc. Boxing Day was their day off - and the family of the house boxed up all the left-overs and whatever gifts they may or may not have wished to give them, and gave them to the servants to take home for their families.

Happy Boxing Day!

OK. let me see if I get Boxing Day right. LOL. Boxing day is for those who have to deliver packages or boxes through Christmas Eve or Christmas day so that they can get a holiday off. I know it is not a celebration of Boxing or Boxer Shorts...maybe the Boxer Rebellion...If this is not right, Marion can explain all. Curious minds want to know.

BTW the weather in Texas has run the gamut. Monday & Tuesday were 29 degrees with the wind blowing 40-50 MPH, Wednesday it warmed up to 40-ish and was drizzly and miserable, Christmas day started off to sunshine and mild temps, but got cloudy in the afternoon. Today it is 70 degrees and the wind is blowing about 40 MPH. Only in Texas!

Hope everyone had a glorious Christmas or whatever holiday you are celebrating.

Love to you all.

Yes, absolutely to the January meeting!

Happy holidays everyone!

I stopped by the Yahoo board (I don't go there anymore since I was forbidden to express myself there), and there was this lovely post from Dan. I'm sure he won't mind if I re-post it here.

---------------------------------------------------

To all you Carnies, thanks for getting the word out.

I hope each and every one of you takes the time this holiday season to
give a thought to how lucky we are to live in such a miraculous time,
in which strangers with a common interest can be bound by pixels and
bits. I'm so happy that so may of you have been touched in a positive
way by the show over the years.

On set, we had a little "gang sign." You'd make a "C" with your
curved thumb and forefinger, then straighten both digits to form an
"L." Which stood, of course, for "Carnie Love." I'm sending it out
to each and every one of you.

Happy Holidays,

D.

Hi everyone. Happy Thanksgiving weekend! Yes Fana, Love the cool California weather.

Boy I wish Carnivale was going to continue. Now I have to go through withdrawls for the season end of TrueBlood. Went to see Twilight but it was a puff piece compared to Trueblood! Much prefer vampire Bill! But would like Carnivale to return MOST OF ALL!
After all, Carnivale is family!

Happy Thanksgiving, everyone! (OK, I'm a day late, but my family does a party today.)

> ok..I had the fright of my life this morning!
> Carnival is no longer on the main HBO
> page!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
>

Fana, it's been gone for a while.. Fortunately, you can still click on the Series link at the top of the page. I had faint hopes that it had to do with HBO getting their act together and selling it to someone who would actually do something with it, but that's probably wishful thinking...
