That would actually be really cool. An RPG like Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic where your choices would effect your powers, ending, appearence, etc. I'd get it! -- "I only drink the blood of my enemies! ...And occaisonally a strawberrry Yoo Hoo." --Sarge, Red VS Blue

Ok, so the FATE game is mildly interesting. How about creating a "Carnivale" PC game. Create a character (good or evil) and pit yourself against the other characters!!

Okay, so...I bought FATE and have been playing as the Joined twins and as Dogface--yeah, I have two games going at once because I've been keeping track of the cards you get depending on choice you make--just want to make sure that I'm getting my $$ worth! All I can say is that they ARE differences between the characters. On the first riddle I chose REFUSE and got a 8 of Swords with the twins, but got a different card with Dogface! I don't know yet if it also depends on the characters gender--which cards you get and when--but I've been playing as female. Of course, it would effect the storyline, but.... I haven't gotten all the way through yet--I need three more cards. I do agree, though that game-play is tedious and repetitive if it weren't for my frugalness for trying not to waste money, I don't think I would have finished the game. The music can get annoying, too. DON

I FINALY downloaded the free one last night now I am going nuts for more, In my opinion tho before I buy it, I would LOVE it if they made more for us to choose from rather then just the three they have now, and I am also curious about the game itself, since I only got to play it once before my time ran out, do the cards change each time, are the choices ALWAYS the same or do those change depending on your previous choice or who you play??? I love the game and am in need of more play, but if its something that once I play one or two times before repeating myself, it isn't worth the 20. for me then, for a 20. game I want something I can play over and over and not feel like i'm stuck in the twilight zone repeating myself ya kno... (as well as a larger choice in who I can play. Maybe if I wait they will make it with a little more to choose from, or atleast that is my hope. JUST PLEEEEEEASE DO IT SOOON!! AAKK!

About Season Three: Tonight on the chat, Deb Cristofferson mentioned that handwritten letters are more effective than petitions. And TarotJoe very kindly grabbed these addresses: > (Hand written letters mailed to HBO will have more > impact than emails.) > > > Chris Albrecht - Chairman and CEO - HBO > Entertainment > HBO Entertainment > 2500 Broadway, Ste. 400 > Santa Monica, CA 90404 > > Carolyn Strauss - President - HBO Entertainment > HBO Entertainment > 2500 Broadway, Ste. 400 > Santa Monica, CA 90404 > > Miranda Heller - Vice-President, Original > Programming > HBO Entertainment > 2500 Broadway, Ste. 400 > Santa Monica, CA 90404 PLEASE write to these people. I'm going to. But also, please do go to the petition thread and post. We've only got 47 names over there, which is kinda bad considering we've probably got thousands of people reading these boards. The good thing about the petition thread is that they can simply count our names at a glance over there, without having to open the mail or anything. And buy some piece of tie-in merchandise, like the DVD's, or a T-shirt or a mug! Thanks! T -- It is better to be a wounded lion than an impeccable flea

You may be able to uninstall and reinstall it, but I don't know. 1 hour was enough to hook me into paying the $20 for the game so that I wouldn't have to start at the beginning again.

Hilooo all, I just got the trial, and was going to play the hell out of it until payday, but some how after what seemed like only an hour it has expired. What the hell is that? And how can I fix this until I have the money to waste on a game? Thanks for your time

I just paid for and downloaded the game of FATE. Fun, as far as the actual card playing against the Fortune Teller goes, but the "riddles" are simplistic at first go-through, and 100% repetitive and boring with each consecutive new game as a new character. Why the exact same 12 or so riddle questions, in the same exact order? Aren't there any other archival carnie freak photos in existence anywhere from which to concoct a more in-depth and multi-faceted collection of riddle questions and answers? Make the game less hum-drum-predictable! Make winning a card from the Fortune Teller a coveted experience, not a boring sideline to the decreasingly entertaining card game! DEPTH! INTRICACY! MORE CHALLENGE FOR ADVANCING LEVELS! LESS PREDICTABILITY! Message was edited by analane at Feb 3, 2005 9:54 PM

They need a downloadable upgrade for the game with more levels. After you collect all the cards, it's boring because there's nothing more to accomplish.

Bought the game. Now I'm sorry. Play is slow. Sound is bad. Win one game and you have won them all. Save your money for the dvd's.

I bought the game, paid the $20. Not only is the game a great game, (although now that the fortune teller, who by the way looks enough like Appy to make me think maybe that's her sister or something, has the Hanged Man card, she beats my butt!! Heh) but it also has a tarot database of card meanings. While this is a nice feature, it would have been nicer if they had included the reverse meanings as well. In any case, I am a longtime carnival fan and waited with bated breath for this series to debut and it has NOT disappointed. So heres my $20 for the game, HBO, with a HUGE thank you and a plea for a new season SOON! And for all you true carnie fans out there, heres a link: http://www.coneyislandusa.com/sideshow.shtml ENJOY!
