This is a petition for Season Three. Please post here, if you want to see a third season. There is no need to post anything special, or to put your real name or anything like that--HBO has all that, after all. We, the undersigned, want to see the story of Carnivale play out as written. Please continue Carnivale for a third season. -- It is better to be a wounded lion than an impeccable flea

Please bring back and continue this show. The story is amazing and I feel cheated not to see the rest of it.

Perhaps, rather than promising to buy future DVDs, we could all get together and chip in a few dollars each to pay for the cost of making the last four seasons. Somewhere an article mentions that each episode costs more than $2,000,000. When the show ended there were 1.8 million devoted fans. With them and all of us new fans together we could each donate $2/episode and that would more than pay for the cost. It would also cost each person a total of $96 for four seasons--a good deal when we pay close to that for only two seasons as it is. If HBO agreed to this, they would pay nothing up front and would only profit. We would know that we had contributed to the completion of one of the best stories ever told (and get to enjoy it).

Please finish Carnivale!!! A movie or a third season. Go to Twitter and see how many people "tweet" every few minutes about Carnivale. Maybe that number will impress you??? There has to be someway to cut down production costs.

HBO Im telling you all my friends and my family would buy more then one copy of every season and watch the show like it's a religion we love it so much. I suggest in fact beg you bring this amazing series back. It's the only tv I watch, ever. I loved this show so much. It was left much to openly and I believe that it would be quite intelligent to bring it back and cancel one of your other shows that has less of a fan base but I would stay up at any hour just to watch this show. But if you chose to make a bad decision and not bring back the show, I suggest and ask one thing that I may finish the story by writing a novel because I love it so much, if I were to do so I would work with the writers of the scripts and provide closure to fans because really all I need is closure and that you would not continue a show which such a large amount of fans simply disgust me at your channels view, business is simply you make money off more fans why not make more money I ask. but I would like to see something done please I beg of you as a fan do the right thing for both you and the loving fans of Carnivale. Sincerely Miranda Ballantyne and the Ballantyne family and friends

Daniel Knauf, you stated in the 'Making of Carnivale' clip season 1, "You will not feel cheated." We feel cheated that there is no conclusion to this amazing series! Please bring your brilliantly written story back to life for an ending. The Carnivale series is a timeless period piece that so many will enjoy for years to come, but we need a conclusion. The cinematography, costumes, sets, actors, and story line was superb. It's 2009 and we are still asking for season 3! HBO all things are possible... There is a demographic of viewers out here large enough to support this endeavor* -- Edited by slimsandi at 07/09/2009 12:46 PM PDT -- Edited by slimsandi at 07/09/2009 12:56 PM PDT

I know at least 100 people that all love this show. We get together weekly and watch Season 1 and 2 over and over and over. Sometimes we'll have discussion groups about what might happen in season 3 and season 4 and season 5 and season 6. We are all devastated that Carnivale Season 3 hasn't begun yet and cannot wait for HBO to start it up again. It is the best television series ever made.

My husband and I are re-watching the second season right now; I know it's probably not going to happen, but please bring this series back. Other networks have brought back cancelled series. I think that after the nation has gotten fully-engrossed in other symbolically-dense series like "Lost," that a greater viewership would be ready for "Carnivale" again. It was a truly masterful series--c'mon, we labored through a season of "John from Cincinnati" and you couldn't bring back a cult favorite?

Somehow (maybe because I don't pay that much attention to HBO since the cancellation) I missed that Chris Albrecht had been fired. Let me be the first to say THANK GOD, aside from whatever cause may have gotten him fired the guy showed a complete and utter disregard for anything the fans of his network might be thinking. Him being out the door is probably what is giving rise to this recent thought about a possible Carnivale revival. Given the current status of a lot of the key players though makes the possibility a remote one though, at least at present.

HBO, you are stupid for canceling this series. Do you see how many thousands of people would be watching the show if you were to revive it? I don't watch ANY other HBO show, and I don't even have an HBO subscription, but I would subscribe to HBO if you brought back Carnivale. I bet I'm not the only one, now that people have been able to watch the DVDs or download the show from iTunes and get hooked on the series. They'd probably pay for HBO, too, just to be able to tune in and watch the next season. I don't care if the actors are older now or whatever. Where there's a will, there's a way. You and the creators of the show could find a way to bring it back if you wanted to. It's a sad day when a TV show with artistic merit gets canceled because it's expensive when there are so many idiotic shows that continue to run. At least ABC has the balls to film on location and to invest money in Lost, a show with intellectual and artistic value. If you lug-nuts at HBO don't have the same kind of good sense as the people at ABC, then please sell the rights to them--or to another station with better taste and more money than you have.

This sucks. I just got to the end of Season 2, only to find out that (1) the plot is unresolved, and (2) there are no more seasons. This is one of the greatest TV series that I've seen in a LONG time, and now I have nothing left to look forward to? Come on, HBO! At least give us a final movie or mini series to round out the show. BRING BACK CARNIVALE!!!! I might actually get HBO added to my satellite package if you bring it back.

I agree with all the sentiments to bring back Carnivale for another season. I suppose I understand some of the financial considerations that went into the decision to pull it (it was a very expensive show to produce), nevertheless the quality and story telling held it's own against any of the series' that HBO has produced in its history. Deadwood and the Sopranos where a couple of examples. I have read that Daniel Knauf had a story line that encompassed 3 distinct two-year story arcs so there should be plenty of plot developments left for additional material. The only questions I would have is how feasible it would be to get most of the original cast and crew assembled after so much time has passed, but depending on how the story line unfolded, having all the original players may not even be necessary. If HBO were to bring Carnivale back, I would definitely renew my subscription, which I canceled when Carnivale was canceled.
