My take on everything is that co-ed, forbidden science, etc is bringing a classic sense to cinemax. There all tasteful and that's not a bad thing. I do think that co-ed has the best acting though hands down.

Co-Ed Confidential - Spring Break scheduled to start late-night Friday April 3 12:00 AM (Saturday), and I am really ready!
Cinemax On-Demand currently has an 8-9 minute preview of Season 3.

I really liked Sin City Diaries! I liked Amber Smith. I would like to see it make a return. Co-Ed was good and the move to show a little more was noticed by me, Hannah looked wonderful! I would like to see it come back. I am just not on board the Forbidden Science train. Too formatted. Ok story. Give it a C! That's my input.

I was just watching an episode of AMERICAN DAD and it reminded me of whats been discussed here about FORBIDDEN SCIENCE.
It had Steve and Roger being assigned to write a porn film and Steve kept making it into a really elaborate sci-fi film, with no sex.

In Coed Confidential, "The Hunt Is On," I am pretty certain that Maxine played one of the two Cheerleaders in the shower scene- the one with the smaller breasts.
Does anyone know anything about her, or if she has been in anything else?? Thanks!

I just wanna give my take on the new series.
FORBIDDEN SCIENCE
Great concept, but, I agree with a lot of the other posters here in how it lacks in the sex scenes. However, I don't agree with the poster who said they watch these movies just to see the women naked. If you want that then just go surf on the internet. I DO watch these movies for the sex scenes because with the MPAA, "real" movies are too afraid to show any real sexuality at all. The person who works for the show that posted here stated that they were trying to incorporate primetime scripts and characters into a late night show. Well, you've succeeded. The storylines and characters are very well done for this type of series. But, that doesn't mean you had to water-down the sex scenes. The scenes in this series are about as explicit as an R rated B-movie; nothing but close-ups. Its almost a routine: Three sex scenes per episode. You can actually count down to the episode's end; "That's number two sex scene, one to go!" Some of the actresses in this series don't even moan. I don't know about the other guys on this thread but, only hearing the guy in a sex scene moan and breath hard isn't a big turn-on for me. If you're worried about lessening the rest of the show by making the sex scenes more explicit, you could just look at how HBO did it with TELL ME YOU LOVE ME. Obviously, the material in either series is different, but, it demostrates how a show can take its material seriously AND have explicit sex scenes.
CO-ED CONFIDENTIAL
Again, I agree with the other posters who say that it feels like the producers are more worried about the characters' storylines than the sex scenes. Everything I wrote above applies here as well; the sex scenes are not explicit enough. If FORBIDDEN SCIENCE'S sex scenes are like R rated B-movies, then CO-ED CONFIDENTIAL's sex scenes are like Marylin Chambers softcore movies with less slow-motion. You can still have the characters be involved in wacky hilarious adventures AND have more explicit sex scenes.
ZANE'S SEX CHRONICLES
Everything I've already written plus the fact that the sex scenes are WAY too short. Here, they actually have explicit sex scenes ...but then they cut them too soon! You'll have a great set-up, then, CUT-TO a scene of the women sitting around talking.
I guess the simple rules to follow for these kinds of series's is (if anyone cares):
-The sex scenes must be explicit.
-More wide-shots, less close-ups.
-NO-SLOW-MOTION.
-The actors must ...act. That means moaning like you enjoy it Miss "I'm-so-hot-so-I-don't-have-to-do-anything-but-stand-here-and-look-hot" Actress.
-Minimal voice-overs or music playing on the soundtrack during said sex scenes.
-THE-SEX-SCENES-MUST-BE-EXPLICIT
Side-note: The actress in FORBIDDEN SCIENCE with the black and pink hair in pigtails has to be the cutest, sexiest actress in Cinemax late-night history. Its a travesty that she's only had two sex scenes so far in this series. She should be the star!

Why so much full frontal female nudity and no male? It is amazing that there are still so many double standards! The after hours films are so clearly made for men. Women might enjoy them too and plenty of us now make more money and pay the cable bill. I read that these men can't convince the wife, etc. HELLO? Throw in some male nudity and it won't seem so demeening to women. We might even enjoy it! Are there laws restricting full frontal male on cinemax after hours? Obviously, there are still too many men calling the shots and making the rules. Grow up and let us have fun, too! What are you scared of?

Cinemax please!!!! Bring back (for nostalgia) Secrets of Love: Three Rakish Tales. It was the best soft porn movie you guys have ever put on screen! I have not sen it in 15 years and would like an encore for old times sake. Bring back some of the classics. Your viewer would appreciate it.

This has nothing to do with "Co-Ed Confidential", which I don't even know what is. I just wanted to congratulate Cinemax on having Dolby Digital Ex 7.1 sound for (at least) some movies. It sounds great. I just watched The Art of War and The Simpson's Movie, both of which had DD Ex. Keep it up.
This is a very odd forum. I don't see how to start a new topic, upload an avatar, or even display outside a cramped little area on the left of my screen. Surely you can do better than this, guys.

Has there been any confirmation that cinemax or hbo will be showing more episodes of alien sex files 3?
I really hope they do.
Also where did we get the info there are 7 episodes in all?
Have we seen other movies that are of the same caliber? If so let me know.(not limited to cinemax)

I appreciate the timely response, I hope my opinions will not make you disinterested in what I have to say. I understand there is a tight rope to walk that must be considered when making shows like these, so I applaud you for making the effort. I want to make it clear that my only complaint is the sex scenes, I remember in the '90s when they first started coming out with movies that had a R-rated and Unrated version and how that meant something, compaired to the present, you would watch the r-rated version only to be disappointed regardless if the unrated actually showed much or not, for me when I watched forbidden science it felt like I was watching the r-rared version, when it is so choppy it sends me back to the days when the camera would pan down from the breasts to the stomache then to the moment right before you would see the one area you want to see more then anything else and the camera would cut to the next scene. I don't understand if you are making a skin flick and it is not against the rules to show the girl in all her glory, why would you not, even if the scene has to be short due to more story telling. I couldn't believe there was such a lack of female frontal or from behind, I can understand trying to build up to that as well, but I can only be so patient. When I compare the show to co-ed I understand the difference in style but I don't understand when it comes to the sex what really needs to be different? One of the best examples I could give is when the clone is in the incubator it was a perfect time to show her from top to bottom, instead there where strategicly placed metal bands that covered her. That is where I look back to the '70s sleaze and appreciate the straight nudity without sex, what happened to just being naked? Come up with creative ways for the girls to be naked and magic will happen.
