With Juna getting all the hype and most of the magazine covers, Valerie enlists a new publicist, Billy Stanton, to land a cover of her own. Billy obliges by scoring a shoot for Be Yoga, forcing Valerie to remodel her fitness room and take a yoga crash course.

I happened to catch a commerical about this episode. When Valerie was in the tub surrounded by all those candles with that towel on her head; I got a flash in my mind of her leaning her head back too far & catching the towel on fire. But she doesn't even realize it until Marky Mark comes in to ask "what's with all the smoke?". What a laugh I had at that!

Tonight isn't the last episode. There are supposed to be 13 eps all together; that leaves 2 more. Tonight should be HALARIOUS!

> Has this dog had its death sentence pronounced yet? So Is Tonight The Last Episode? I wonder if they'll end it with a flash forward to 2045, showing Valerie alone in the bedroom of her Florida condo, surrounded by her "I'm It" mementos and her 200 cats and staring blankly into space just before the show fades to white...

Has this dog had its death sentence pronounced yet? If not, what's holding the HBO suits up? The last eppi should have Ms. Kidrow's character die. The cause? TOXIC SCHLOCK SYNDROME!

hi, I don't think the comeback is a gay show. it did have some gay role in that, that doesn't mean it's a gay show. it has hbo symbol, unique, you can not find any show like this, better than any other reallity show, britney jessicar simpson, just beacuse they r famous doesn't mean we see what they eat or get married in a big room. better because it's different and fake, but real than any other one. best of all, lisa is fantastic, her acting skill, personly , i think better than any other acters in frinends.

I don't know why anyone would be offended by what I said. I'm a gay man who watches The Comeback with my parner of 5 years. It couldn't be any gayer than "a Cher concert followed by a all male gymnastics team? Even my lesbian friend who posted agreed with me. If you're a straight watching the show it probably wouldn't matter because there is something in it that you find funny. I'm not saying that it's a gay show meant for gay people; my point is that if you don't get why Cabaret wiht Liza is so great - ask a gay, they'll tell you ; ) Pirate, I didn't mean to come off distrusting, just a Valarie moment

Tbonehead, I love your description about the show being gayer than a Cher concert, ha ha. HBO should court The Queer as Folk audience from Shotime since it ran for the last time this season. On a happier and hopeful note this just came in from Entertainment Weekly's most recent issue. I will type out both articals because I nearly gave up on the show myself; here is my penence... Entertainment has their "Must" list (which magazine doesn't) for the past week...pg 39. The Comeback came in number two and I quote: "Love it or hate it, the HBO comedy (in fact a tragedy)features Lisa Kudrow giving one of the best performances of the year." Also on page 53 and artical on Paulie G... "oh, Paulie G. Let us count the ways in which you are despicable. Is it the belch on your answering machine message? Is it how you strut around the set of "The Comeback's" show within a show, Room and Bored, with your bulging belly, that heinous soul patch, and frat-boy-reject wardrobe? Is it how you say about three words an episode but manage to eviscerate Valerie Cherish (Lisa Kudrow)with each glare? Yes, yes, yes! You make the uncomfortableness of HBO's The Comeback that much more uncomfortable...and that's a good thing. "I had some insecurity about not having lines at first," says Paulie portrayer Lance Barber (Faking the video). "there were lines that got cut where I was a complete a--hole to [Valarie]. Contempt works better without any lines." So, what was up with that awkward stare upon seeing Val's belly-baring poster? "I asked the writers what I was thinking, and they said they have an idea..." And if the Comeback comes back for a second season, Barber has an idea of his own. "I'd like to see Paulie and Vaerie fall in love." Okay, now we're really uncomfortable. This again was on this weeks issue of EW magazine. Finally the show is getting some publicity. I really think Lisa Kudrow should get nominated for best actress in a comedy for the Golden Globes. Finally some recognition for those of us who like the show. Then

Have no fear Ed...I live three blocks from there but I wasn't actually thinking we were going to get together and have have a debate...just making conversation on the board and providing info, which you requested. BTW, I also have an apartment in LA.

Now I know > there are straight men and women who watch this but > really, it's a gay thing. It's about time somebody finally fessed up and admitted the truth. A few weeks back I got slammed for stating what's been obvious from the beginning, that this show is gayer than a Cher concert preceeded by a men's gymnastics exhibition. Something tells me that no matter how much of its lead-in audience The Comeback loses, there will probably always be a couple of million gay guys out there wetting their pants and screeching like little girls every time it comes on. I still say the most interesting direction this show could take would be if Valerie gets fired from Room & Bored, The Comeback gets cancelled, Valerie's agent dumps her, her husband splits on her, her housekeeper gets another job, then Valerie pulls a Margot Kidder/Anne Heche and disappears for three or four weeks, only to turn up crouching naked in the back yard of some total stranger in Palmdale, babbling incoherently about being abducted by space aliens. THEN this show might have some legs...

I must be getting old, to me Valerie is already so hot. I guess by Hollyweird standards she would be considered an older woman, which is what she's always fighting, but in my town she'd melt the pavement! :D
