And when they attempted to bring one in, he got hurt almost right away. I used to watch soccer as a girl, the Chicago Sting, and I really enjoyed it. I'd really like to see it get some recognition and gain some popularity in the States, too. -- ~Susan

Susan, you're right Cassel didn't do a bad job, I just think that the Patriots would have made it to the playoffs had Brady not been injured. I think Cassel did great but he's still no Brady, he moves better thats definite. Jaytrotter, I have to agree with you about the Euro soccer comments, in this country soccer does not get the amount of media attention it should considering it's the most popular sport in the world, and I thought that the tennis portion was a bit much. I think the main issue with soccer in the US is that the US doesn't have any really great stand out players or teams so they don't bother giving it the attention we would like. Hopefully that'll change!

Just finished watching, it was a real good show. But how is there no video highlights of the 2008 Euro Soccer? This is the 3rd most watched sporting event in the world. I mean at least show the winning goal or the trophy highlight. One still picture is all we get. It was a huge story Spain winning their first title in over 40 years. Instead we get a highlight of Washed up Delahoya losing to Pacman or something. And endless talk about tennis (rafa/ federer) which was a great match. But wimbledon is every year and they have played like at least 10 times before this match even happened. I know this a US show but tennis isn't exactly huge in the US. Actually US ratings were higher for the Euro final than that Wimbledon final.

But Matt Cassel sure hasn't done too shabbily, Steve. There are quite a few NFLers I could think of: Warner and Pennington come to mind immediately. I'm very tired of hearing the whole "Jets/Favre/Pennington/should they have made the trade" arguments by now, but he's had an outstanding season. LOL, I suppose the poor Lions could get honorable message - as the worst??? -- ~Susan

My favorite moment was seeing Manny Pacquiao beat Oscar De La Hoya since he was considered such a huge underdog by so many and I had picked him to win. I think this one fight for me answers all those questions. I was also very happy about the Celitcs winning the championship. The big let down for me was seeing Tom Brady get injured and out for the season in the first game of the year.

Surely the Celtics performance both last season and so far this season rank as a favorite moment. One doesn't have to be a fan of the team necessarily to appreciate what they've accomplished. Player is a difficult category. There are so many who accomplish so much. I've enjoyed watching Samurai Mike Singletary get his chance at head coach. And the Packers management probably deserves a bit of a raspberry, 13-3 and an OT away from Super Bowl to 5-9 so far (probably 6-10 when all is said and done). -- ~Susan
