It's called "Amarcord" from the Federico Fellini film of the same name, by Nino Rota.

Does anybody know the name of the background music that plays during Larry's flashback about Cheryl towards the end of this episode?

Does anybody know if that was Phil Lamar from the early years of MadTV playing the pharmacist?

Oh my God! This had to be the funniest episode I have seen of any show in my recent memory!!! The writing and performances were exceptional! Thank you for addressing this very sensitive issue with a 360 degree perspective!

Actually the joke's on me. Earlier I had reported one of the member of this board for using derogatory language (i.e. bigoted phrases) when I discovered ONLY AFTER watching this episode that he was simply paraphrasing what Larry David heard in the washroom.

In a way, I acted like the black doctor in the episode who overheard Larry explaining what he heard only moments before in the washroom.

I stand corrected on this season of Curb. It's actually shaping out to be a pretty good season! Pretty pretty pretty good...

Love Leon, if there's anther season I'd love to see more of him. Kevin Farley was hysterically funny - one of my favorite episodes.

yeah, i really don't like cheryl for leaving Larry. I thought her charm was that she always supported him. I thought it was a bit extreme for her to leave because of the airplane call, and then mention talking during sex.

Too fast too soon too unrealistic. And then for her to be all of a sudden dating an underwear guy ....no i don't think so.

I feel like I've been stabbed in the stomach. Cheryl can piss off.

I think Larry wishes he was black. That's why he's so fixated on black people and black topics.

anyone notice in the beginning of the episode when Jeff & Larry are having lunch... that Jeff orders an Arnold Palmer, Larry an iced tea... but a few minutes later, they are drinking eachothers drinks? (Jeff is drinking the tea & Larry has the A.P.)

also, blindmoe, i'd have to disagree with your argument that there are no positive or non-stereotypical portrayals of blacks. the show has always has a good track record of showing a range of black characters including many professionals... even in the last 3 episodes we've had a black surgeon, a black pharmacist, and the very charming & mild-mannered Hal from "The Rat Dog".

great episode... the pharmacist reading the unfortunately-worded note was brilliant!
