A bull-von (sp?) is yiddish. Hard to translate 100% but I would say a brutish looking ruffian.

Nobody should be surprised about an HBO show making fun of Christianity. HBO is full of Jewish characters force feeding their religion down our throats. 'Bored to Death' show about a Jewish guy, first line of the series "are you one of those self-hating jews?". Entourage, ARI GOLD, bahmihtzvahs, Israeli security. And of course Curb, with Jewish Larry pissing on Jesus. I'm not even Christian or religious, which is why I'm so sick of pro-jew humor being shoved in my face. Jewish people arent even 2% of the country, yet EVERY show on HBO has jewish characters and jewish topics. This is obviously because the executives, producers, writers are Jewish, and their so self-rightous that they subjectively create these topics, with no regard for the audience. HBO should be ashamed of themselves.

Hi, I'm not english native speaker and there is a word that jerry tells larry in this episode that keep on spinning in my mind and i can't hear what is it

they are talking in the car about maureen quitting, when larry ask jerry if he was expecting this to happen, jerry says "I was thinking this... (vulvano?) walk in there and in two minutes..."
It sounds like a sarcastic description of Larry's amability or something like that.

If someone could help me to resolve this I would be very grateful, it's starting to affect my obsesive compulsive being

thanks

If Larry David wants to be REALLY outrageous and "pushing the envelope" he would have P'd on a picture of Mohammed or on the Koran. Wait!!!! Those people will kill you!..Sorry...you can always kick Christians with impunity. He can preserve his liberal/Hollywood cred.

LoL. Bill O'Reilly? I thought everyone had already decided to remove the "News" part off of Fox News. Anyway, Larry David rocks and his comedic tone is great. So a little urine got on Jesus. I once saw his face on a grilled cheese, but nobody crucified me for dabbing it in a little Ketchup...

Bill O'Reilly (FOX News) declared Larry David a Pinhead today for this tacky episode. Well deserved.

I have been a fan of this show since the beginning. The show is brilliantly put together and the acting and casting nothing short of perfection. But...

I have to say this episode crossed the line with the splashing of urine on the image of Jesus. The same effect could have been achieved with the splashing of water. I am not a churchgoer nor do I actively participate in any religion. But some things are just offensive and hurtful to others. I know the words nigger and kike are offensive and hurtful and I am neither a man of color or Jewish.

Would it be funny? If say Larry after having an eye exam had blurred vision but had to attend a meeting at the home of a rabbi. And somehow the way only Larry can, he finds himself in a crazy mix up where he mistakes the Torah for a roll of toilet paper and whips his ass with it. We all know Larry would say something like "I couldn't see! They both are rolls of paper! I couldn't see!"

No that probably wouldn't be funny either. But it's better to shit on your own beliefs than someone else?s.

What I am saying is I feel Larry David made not only a decision in poor taste but also a conscious decision to offend.

Hey I'm not saying Larry is all-bad. Hell he gave Michael Richards (Kramer on "Seinfeld") a paying job on his show even after his meltdown on stage screaming "Look he's a nigger! He's a nigger!.."

Now that's funny! Or is it?

I've got an idea for expanding one of the themes of this episode. How about Larry eats some bad hummus at a middle-eastern restaurant and returns the next day to complain, and then he urgently has to go to the bathroom. He has a wicked wet fart that sprays on a picture of Islam's prophet that happens to be hanging on the wall of the bathroom. I know pictures of the Islamic prophet are never displayed, but I also doubt there are Christian homes with portraits of their prophet on bathroom walls watching over the toilet. Do you think the writers, actors, producers and executives of CYE and HBO have the guts or chutzpah to carry this comedic line of thought forward? Or would they realize they carried this comedic thread one step too far?

This was a wonderful example of the plethora of incidents that can be creatively formatted into a single scheduled block.
I was happy, horrified and tickled in a minute timeframe.

That is another reference to Jesus for Curb, Larry you ate the baby J Christmas cookies, The Passion Cross/Mezzuza, "Joseph you and Mary ever?"Lifesize nativity, now, the painting above the comode. It is horrifying.

I already feel somewhat guilty for watching because...I try to be proper. The reality is I am really just a comedy hag.

I will be there again next Sunday....
Because your my guilty pleasure.

Best episode so far this season. LD and Jerry together were great...who else can definitively discuss cell phone break-up etiquette??

most series start losing thier seasonal steam but larry always seems to deliver week after week. i love this episode. i think i woke my 80 year old neighbor because i was laughing so hard. i felt tickled and ashamed to laugh at jesus with pee on his face all though it was only a picture of him. i guess it just kinda sucked because jesus didnt get a say in the matter.

WWJD ? you think he would have asked larry to appologize or complain to the midriff girl and her mother why on earth would they put a picture of him in the bathroom and in the splash zone none the less?

The ending had me rolling with laughs. I NEVER saw that coming. It amazes me how Larry David can invent a situation and have it be the pinnacle of hilarity. It's a mind somewhere between perverse and genius. Another slam dunk!
