Cal., so most of us enfoy the change of pace. Although this year will be tough due to all of the fires we had as the rains will cause a lot of mud slides. I hope that your days get better. Until then, put a log on the fire and cozy up with a book.

It's finally getting on the cool/cold side of the weather out here in So. Cal. A smattering of lite rain in the flats with a dusting of the white stuff in the mountains followed by a blustery day says that winter has arrived. Or would that be flood season?

The Prime Minister of India is a vegetarian, so "most" of the state dinner was vegetarian !! I wonder if that was a first.

Have the Koos been enjoying Rodriguez's fall from the balcony, into the mud of the thouroughfare? (I've started season 2 again). We put a major hurt on them this year. RR was berating his young QB to the point near tears. What a horsesass.

> So, anybody out there gonna brave the 5AM crazies for > doorbuster specials on Friday? I do most Christmas shopping on line - I hate the crowds. I would rather let someone pull my toenails out with pliers than go shopping on black Friday! The mall won't have one parking space left and the shopping center 5 miles from my house will take at least an hour to get to due to the hideous traffic.

I haven't been shopping on the day after Turkey Day in years. I hate crowds & the fucking traffic. For several years I've met a friend at a big craft show 2 counties away. No mall crowds, tho a lot of ladies show up for this. It's at a county fairground building so lots of free parking. We usually drop one vehicle there, then also go bumming around to the exclusive shops in town. And also hit the coffee/tea place. Much more fun than the mall crap. And the town is very pretty any time of the year & more so at Xmas. PS, I love Kohl's also. I do most of my shoping for clothes there. I like the Vera Wang line a lot. -- Edited by CanalGal at 11/21/2009 4:59 PM PST

Re: Pre-Black Fridays Sales Gotta love Kohl's. I placed an order this morning on Kohls.com, not realizing they were having a huge Pre-Black Friday Sale. Cool...I'll take savings where I can find them. Went to my mailbox this afternoon, and found a Kohl's promotion for 15% off everything, so, I thought, what the heck, I'll give it a shot. I called customer service and they are going to take 15% off my already discounted and finalized web order! WOOT!! Bonus! So, anybody out there gonna brave the 5AM crazies for doorbuster specials on Friday? I'm not sure a $3.00 sandwich maker is worth it. I do love shopping online, though.

Yes, I don't know why they paired the photo with the story, just for sensationalism, I guess. She looks a lot healthier than he, not skeletor at all. I wonder how photo shopped it is.
