Seems folks here in Deadwood have alot to offer on the subject of politics. It's all over the place in so many threads its hard for a hoople like me to find it all. So i thought maybe if there was a single thread for political opinion and debate it might be easier to indulge in reading it. I hope so anyways cause some of the stuff I've read in here has all the promise of a good Sunday morning pundit throw down. But a lot fuckin wittier and funnier. Thanks. -- auBoy Jackass of all trades, master of one.

YES WE CARVE -- There are 10^11 stars in the galaxy. That used to be a huge number. But it?s only a hundred billion. It?s less than the national deficit! We used to call them astronomical numbers. Now we should call them economical numbers. - Richard Feynman

It might be easier if history was accurate...maybe then we wouldn't keep doing the exact same thing that got us in the mess the last time. I guess that's a question for my > therapist. Most identify themselves as whatever their parents are. Once they get out on their own the go left (if not already there) because they think someone else should be responsible for/take care of them (like when they lived at home). As they age and develop responsibility they tend to move right because they believe people should be responsible for themselves. Unfortunately, they never stop to realize that the right is no more for smaller government than the left is, anymore. -- "It is wonderful to be back in Oregon," Obama said.
