Politics in DEADWOOD -Bring It !

Seems folks here in Deadwood have alot to offer on the subject of politics. It's all over the place in so many threads its hard for a hoople like me to find it all.

So i thought maybe if there was a single thread for political opinion and debate it might be easier to indulge in reading it.

I hope so anyways cause some of the stuff I've read in here has all the promise of a good Sunday morning pundit throw down. But a lot fuckin wittier and funnier.

Thanks.

I find it very ironic that the health care measures which helps millions is held hostage to the rights of the unborn. I guess once one is born, his/her life doesn't really matter anymore. The pro-life people are only pro life for the unborn; who cares about the poor, the sick, the disabled...not them. While I support a large umbrella in the democratic process, I cannot believe the weight placed on this single issue.

I told Senator Tester something:
Senator, most of us, including myself, gave-up on Baucus but you .. you Sir .. you do understand that you reflect what the people think is best for Montana and our Country; we have made our decision .. pass the Health Reform Bill with no watered down Public Option plus no more bull shit from you about all the "delicate nuances".

Its easy in the House, Jack. the rules don't allow for a filibuster or unlimited amendments. They either have the votes or they don't. The Senate is where the real shit will take place.

What a total crock ....

Well, if you were wondering what paranoiac smear artist would be the first to step out and attempt to name President Barack Obama as the man who guided Nidal Malik Hasan to his murderous rampage at Fort Hood yesterday, the answer -- naturally! -- is Jerome Corsi. Corsi has a long history of lunatic, fact-averse ravings and he fails to disappoint on that regard on the pages of World Net Daily, today, in a piece entitled "Shooter advised Obama transition." Except, of course, he didn't do any such thing.

Corsi hangs his entire allegation on a document produced on May 19, 2009 by The George Washington University Homeland Security Policy Institute entitled "Thinking Anew, Security Priorities For The Next Administration." In that document, Nidal Hasan is listed, on page 29, as a "Task Force Event Participant." He was one of hundreds of people listed as a "participant." Significantly, Nidal was not the author of the document. He was not a member of the HSPI's "Presidential Transition Task Force." Nor was he a member of the HSPI's "Task Force Staff." He was not a member of the HSPI's Steering Committee or a briefer to the task force.

I spent an evening at Orlando Regional Medical Center last month. If you are sick its a great place to go. It is about 6 blocks away from that building, and that is why there will be a high survival rate on this one. Arnie Palmer and his wife helped build that complex, which also contains the regional Shriner Burn Center, the Palmer Hospital for Women, and a trauma unit that is one of the best in the country. Shooter arrested. One dead, six wounded.

They need their own song. It's not fair that liberals have all the good music.
