Seems folks here in Deadwood have alot to offer on the subject of politics. It's all over the place in so many threads its hard for a hoople like me to find it all.
So i thought maybe if there was a single thread for political opinion and debate it might be easier to indulge in reading it.
I hope so anyways cause some of the stuff I've read in here has all the promise of a good Sunday morning pundit throw down. But a lot fuckin wittier and funnier.

I wish we would learn from history. It might be easier if history was accurate...maybe then we wouldn't keep doing the exact same thing that got us in the mess the last time.
As long as the government tells us to believe the free market (which does not exist) caused the economic melt down, we will never learn...Same thing happened 80 years ago.

Most identify themselves as whatever their parents are. Once they get out on their own the go left (if not already there) because they think someone else should be responsible for/take care of them (like when they lived at home).
As they age and develop responsibility they tend to move right because they believe people should be responsible for themselves. Unfortunately, they never stop to realize that the right is no more for smaller government than the left is, anymore.
