Seems folks here in Deadwood have alot to offer on the subject of politics. It's all over the place in so many threads its hard for a hoople like me to find it all. So i thought maybe if there was a single thread for political opinion and debate it might be easier to indulge in reading it. I hope so anyways cause some of the stuff I've read in here has all the promise of a good Sunday morning pundit throw down. But a lot fuckin wittier and funnier. Thanks. -- auBoy Jackass of all trades, master of one.

This morning next to my office I noticed some paper on the floor near our fax machine. Apparently, that's how we know a fax had arrived - paper all over the floor ... but I digress. Both fax messages were from some source I've never heard of and whose purpose is to expose Obama and his Administration. Needless to say, they are using the tragic murders at Fort Hood as an excuse to spew hatred against all Islamic people. I've been getting emails over the last few days similarly ginning up hatred against all Muslims generally. Of course, it is all a political ploy. It is a cynical and horribly destructive ploy, and it is fucking evil.

"Senate Democratic leaders are still pushing to bring up their health care reform bill next week, even though the gambit comes with risks as they race against the clock to get a measure passed before the end of the year," Roll Call reports.

"I'm sure there are a lot of people sitting in the shade at the Aspen Institute -- my brother being one of them -- who will tell you what the ideal plan is. Great, fascinating. You have the art of the possible measured against the ideal." -- White House chief of staff Rahm Emanuel, quoted by the Boston Globe. That is a brotherly jab.

> Kareem Abdul-Jabbar has some strange case of > leukemia. If he's lasted a year it has to be somewhat treatable...the evil bitch acute L takes adults rather quick and ugly. Centers used to be cool...The Big Red Dead Head, The Chief kicking back with a left hander, Wilt and his groupies and jazzy Kareem who couldn't beat Bruce Lee...but could beat the Celts sometimes Now we have Shaq wanting to be Shane...begging for a badge and a gun. Someone should tell him Shane died in the end....alone in the mountains. Or did Shane come back shoot Van Heflin, sell the brat to the Comanche, and take Mom to San Fran.... Don't tell Shaq that though...he might cry.

> The End Times Cafe: Booze, bullets, guns, and girls > for Natural and Biblical disasters... > > maybe MRE's will help... It's a totally brilliant con, you've got to admit, when less than five percent convinces the other ninety-five percent to vote against their own social and economic interests. We do it by getting them drunk on a little cocktail made by mixing resentment with self-pity, and topping it off with fear. Garnish with the religious vehicle of your choice (optional). Enjoy. Of course, for the con to work, folks have to have a reliable supply of the necessary ingredients at hand, but it doesn't look like we'll be running out any time soon.

So they spent over half a billion to make a space cowboy and injun western with the hero banging blue chicks... The Avatar chick ain't bad but she can't hold a candle to the blue babe in Species...or even Rebbecca R as the blue mutant in X men...or even some of the blue green babes old Kirk laid galactic pipe to in the Swingers lounge on the old Enterprise... What is it about banging blue babes in space?

Kareem Abdul-Jabbar has some strange case of leukemia. I was fortunate enough to see him play at floor level a couple of times. He was a total package, great footwork and positioning, a force at both ends of the court and he could change from a power game to a nuanced game at the bat of an eye. Good with both hands, but if you could muscle him back just before he took that devastating hook shot, you could make him miss 50 percent of the time. But the biggest thing about this 7' 2" man is his grace. He displayed it on the court, and he displayed it in life. Jabbar loves jazz, and had a note worthy collection of the music. But his house burned to the ground, and his collection was lost. The next year, his retirement year, no matter what city he visited to play, there were always jazz lovers with hands full of records and tapes many of which Jabbar himself had shared with them. Kareem Abdul-Jabbar has to be listed as one of the top five players to ever play the game, and now he has a new game -- battling the big C.

; > come on over.. plenty of leftover M.R.E.s M.R.E.'s? Maybe I should add 'em to me tixs.. See they put me on this fund raising club committee... So I said go guns, girls, and booze... And it works...and its perfect for hurricanes or the Coming End Times everyone in the out-lands is waiting for The gun nuts grab the gun tixs, the club gun nuts pick the hardware for the drawing, mostly rifles and shotguns but a .50 caliber handgun made everyone say Hell yeah...what ye shoot with a .50 caliber handgun I do not know. And booze basket of cheer tickets...perfect to restock the bar for the holidays or a hurricane. A bakers dozen of bottles and bonus beer for the top prize...and Grey goose and Patron bottles for consolation prizes. And its perfect to go with that 50 caliber piece in your pocket big boy... The girls are coeds bar-tending during break...alas they have returned to school. Bullets are the new Oh My God they are going away item....we had some Texans swing by and they said Texas is running out of bullets. Really the extincting of bullets is big news in the back woods... A fellow at the bar is selling deuce and a half trucks...he has 15 for half the price what the Texans say they cost in Texas. Its the damn shipping...need a fucking convoy... And really, coups aside, what the fuck do ye do with 15 deuce and a half trucks? Ye have to have a helluva compound... The End Times Cafe: Booze, bullets, guns, and girls for Natural and Biblical disasters... maybe MRE's will help...
