Where the true meaning of "Welcome to fuckin' Deadwood, it can be combative" is truly felt. Where all hooples, new and old, are welcome to post whatever they want. Got a question or comment and don't want to search through pages and pages of posts to see if it's already been brought up? Can't find a topic suitable for your question or comment? Post it here. But be warned, just like the thoroughfare in Deadwood, you better have thick skin to survive the mud, the blood, and the gore.

How lucky for you. My intro to Frost came in grade school. I heard his voice and I was hooked for life. The woods are lovely, dark and deep. But, I have promises to keep, And miles to go before I sleep, And miles to go before I sleep. -- ~It isn't the number of words you write. It's the order in which you place them.

Lucky for me and my brother that our Mom was an English Major when we were little and whatever she had to read for class, she read to us at bedtime - so we got to hear lots of good poetry and literature at a young age.....

> I love Robert Frost. Thanks for that. > Many would say Frost is simplistic, I disagree.... I love his poetry and one of the first poems I learned as a child was this: Dust of Snow The way a crow Shook down on me The dust of snow From a hemlock tree Has given my heart A change of mood And saved some part Of a day I had rued.

Robert Frost - Nothing Gold Can Stay: Nature's first green is gold, Her hardest hue to hold. Her early leaf's a flower; But only so an hour. Then leaf subsides to leaf. So Eden sank to grief, So dawn goes down to day. Nothing gold can stay.

Here in Chicago, we sometimes complain about the weather. But, there is something about each season that makes me glad this is where I live. Today is the kind of Autumn day that reminds me of this. The air is clear and crisp. The temperature is 50 degrees, which may sound a bit chilly, but the sun is out and it's warm like a Summer sun. The leaves are turning, the grass is still green and there are many flowers in bloom. It's a pretty picture altogether. -- ~It isn't the number of words you write.
