I guess Showtime must use technology similar to that which HBO employs for some reason in sending a very different version of their shows to my house than that which so many of you see. This certainly was the case with "Deadwood," and I see it is happening again with "Dexter." Oh well, at least we can each enjoy things in our own way. I began writing something following my vacation in the ICU. I'm telling a story in third person, using the same style and a similar "voice" to the one I've enjoyed using here. I'm on page 110 which is roughly a third of the way through, and I would have never gotten this far without you all. I'm going to go work on that. Later.

It's Always Sunny...Mac and Dennis break up. This was actually a gentler episode with less tomfoolery. Frank does trim his toenails with a big knife, cuts himself, and tries to pack the wound with garbage! I like Artemis, she cracks me up. She is brash and wary of the gang's pranks. It is nice to see a plus-size woman unapologetic for her size (she does offer to dance nude sometimes even if the situation doesn't call for it.) We need more Artemis!

I've been watching "WWII in HD" on History channel. It's very interesting but so sad. I am remembering things I had forgotten that I had learned in school & learning stuff I never knew. I am moved to tears every episode.

Havent really thought much about who shot Deb. Anton is too obvious. I do think it was someone Lundy recognized tho. Cant put my finger on who would want Lundy dead but not want to kill Deb. If it was Anton the jealous lover he woulda killed Deb for sure.

Re "The Prisoner"...watched some of the original US run back when I was in the Service and loved the metaphorical connections with my predicament...I aspired to be as cool, tough and intelligent as McGoohan's Number6...fell a tad short,though...recently watched a couple of the episodes OnDemand...except for McGoohan, who is as charismatic as I had remembered, the show has dated badly...but I couldn't make it all the way through hour one of the new AMC production...

Now that would be a good story line, Rapid. Anyone else watching "WWII in HD" ? It's on History Channel, what else?

The original "The Prisoner" TV series, starring Patrick McGoohan, was created at a time when there were questions about conformity of social norms and spy stories were all the rage. More than that, it was a kind of precursor to the movie The Matrix. McGoohan, number 6, was always encountering a new number two. He would ask "Who is number one?" and number two would always answer "You are number six". The emphasis was never put on the word "are" but after a while the viewer got the idea that if number six was actually number one, then perhaps he had imprisoned himself (by conforming, don't ya know). In any case, though it had a meager budget, the series had a cult following. This new series from AMC has a much bigger budget, but really is not as good as the first one, IMO. There are no layers of meaning and mystery.

> > Looks like Rita might entertain some strange, huh?! What's with this neighbor, where did he suddenly come from? Was he part of the neighborhood watch group? Rita is an idiot. Maybe the guy will kill her, maybe he killed his first wife.

Certainly it will have to be a plausible plot twist that complicates the plot and is shocking. So what would you do with the somewhat illogical revelations? I would make the Trinity Killer's wife a secret accomplice to his crimes. That's right, she covers his back, but we haven't seen it yet. Dexter is surprised, but never out of the game. Tension and complexity sells the show which has actually been pretty dull this year.
