Hey, you've got to give The Wire a chance. Repeats are on at 8 p.m., right before Deadwood. It's a great show. Very underrated. Deadwood is great, too.

your right man, its just a small error in writing i guess, cus there are references to other fathers to. OR MABY.... there is no reference to her giving birth to vince, and he refers to his father as a douchebage. so keeping in mind all references in the story the last logical answer is they are half brothers with the same father, different mother drama being her first born, but she raised vince as her own and she is the only mother he knows. But who the hell knows. the show still kicks ass

Not to beat a dead horse, but let's say that Turtle's mom referring to the girls as animals was a racist remark on her part... it's real!!
How many 20-30 year old douchebags from Queens mothers would say the same thing if their sons were being wooed by black "hoochie" video skankage. Just looking at the character who played his mother, I can see her saying that.
On the other hand, I don't get the same vibe from Drama/Vince's mom. She seems much more civilized and accepting.
Just my two cents. Although, now that I think about it, I haven't heard an even mildly remote anti-Semitic remark made. Hmmmmm??????

My favorite line was the Ancient warrior God that Ari was polishing in one scene and then mashing in the next. I love Lloyd and Ari's chemistry. And how funny was the hanging chad comment. I took it as if Ari's writer was a conservative. Tired of all the liberal comments on TV and we are due some pro-conservative humor
