Scott Caan's character is a breath of fresh air for the show. He reminds me a little of Davies, just a lot more aggressive.

"Whats up Scotty you seem a little tweaked"

"Yeah well, I've been working two things the past month, Bob Saget when the sun's up, and the Olsen twins when the sun's down."

That's classic entourage right there. It's those kind of lines that made this show what it is. The show could really use more of them these days.

They aren't developing though. They are going through random episodes with random storylines.

I would love for the show to slow down and let guys develop and show detail.

The douchebag comment was taking it a bit too far on my part , but I was just peeved that you were obviously referring to me in your original cry baby post and that other posters were getting taken back by how you seem to want to set the rules for posting.......

take care, and from now on you can just set me and others to ignore and then you wont have to take the time to post how annoying we are to you...........

Now thats over, half of my friends hardly watch it anymore, when we do its on Tivo, not live. All because the show has changed, its not that funny anymore, it doesnt get me pumped up, doesnt leave me wanting more like it used to. Its not even the real Entourage, and people like you just eat what they feed you, justify it and ask for more. So I'm glad you like the new show, but youre clueless, IMO.

monochromepicgirl,

I couldn't agree with you more. I realize that if it was an hour long, it prob would be more drawn out and boring. My main complaint was that most episodes aren't even the full 30 mins, and we leave wishing for more. With all of the minutes lost in each episode, they could have written at least a couple more eps or make each season longer.

No one is bashing the show for making these guys go through tough times. Please read carefully next time.

Tonyromofan,
I wasn't saying that anybody was bashing the show for making the guys go through hard times...maybe you should read my comment more carefully next time.
What I WAS saying, is that people are bashing the show because it has steered away from "the roots" of the show. i.e. 4 guys just living the dream that all of us regular folks wish we could live. If you truely love the show...which you claim...then you should love each character and the way they are developing. Yes, i agree that it would be more lavish at times, but I also watch the show to try to connect to the characters, just like many of the folks on this blog and in the world. Dont get so offensive bud, I wasn't targeting anything directly at you.

Hi bwizzy,
There have been times i wished the series would be an hour long too. Sometimes 30 minutes isn't long enough, but it kept us all going back for more, we couldn't get enough of all the main characters.

I am optimistic that the show will pick up now, we have seen their depth, we know it, we felt it, now it is time again for their exciting lives to go forward and keep moving with all their passions.

mjquisin,

Exactly. I just miss it so much. When they guys were spending money but needed that next job or else they go home. They expected to succeed not have it handed to them. Now they get time off and 4 mil for dog cartoons and do absolutely nothing meaningful. About the women, remember in season 2 when Mandy was all over Vince's mind....

E said it best "you're going throw it all way... over a fucking girl?"

Well Doug Ellin might have done that.

Hi Jrenai,
Thanks for the reply. First chance i have had to look since this morning. Yes, i saw the posts now. I love Lloyd's character. That is great he checks to see what people are saying. I think everyone would agree that Lloyd has withstood the bad times and all the good times on the show. He is still great in the role. And after his 100 day commitment to Ari, it should be even better. Thanks again!

For me this show was picked up when SATC ended. So for me I see many parallels to that one when it comes to the pace, story lines and and how the show moves. I think the 30 minute show is part of the hook. I would love it for 60 minutes but the pace wouldn't be the same and the show would have to be more dramatic and less comical IMO. Sometimes less leaves you with more.........

So far Im liking this season. I didnt like the first episode but other than that I think its doing just fine and I agree with your assessment of how the show has moved.

Hello fellow die hard entourage fans. I want to start off by saying everybody has the right to an opinion without it being bashed by others. I am one of the most die hard entourage fans since the first episode, and have found at least one thing per episode to walk away feeling satisfied. Obviously, more satisfaction from some episodes compared to others. I love everything about the show. It started with four guys from queens establishing themselves into the shallow life which is hollywood;i.e. expensive cars, unbelievably hot women, sex, drugs and rock n' roll (or hip hop), and as time passes, in real life or fictional, they have to evolve. The characters have to develop or the show will seem like one continuous loop. Yes, I agree with some who are against this season, but only in the sense that the fun partying has stopped.
I remember reading on here that people were complaining because it was always the same stuff. Now that Doug Ellin and co. have decided to give the characters more depth, which is what people were yearning for in the first place, they aren't happy with it. Nobody can satisfy everybody, so there are going to be haters out there...no matter what.
All I am saying is, just appreciate that a show can last 70+ episodes and still entertain weekly. Not many shows can say they do/did that.
The stories have always had 3 subplots all evolving around one main plot. It had an Ari plot, and Eric/Vince plot and a Drama/Turtle plot. Vince is on easy street right now, and thats alright. It will get back to him, just have confidence in the show you love. We have 5 episodes left this season, and it is already picked up for a 7th season. Being optimistic will make you enjoy each episode.
My only problem with the series, since day one, it should be an hourlong. If Sopranos and True Blood can do it, why can't Entourage. At least a full 30 mins, the 23 minute episodes are the only thing I walk away feeling disappointed about.
