The most grounded of Vince's friends, Eric does his best to keep Vince on track personally and professionally. Eric acts as Vince's manager, sometimes causing friction between these lifelong friends. Eric reads Vince's scripts for him, and knows his friend's next move depends on how well Eric can get a grasp of the Hollywood shuffle. Discuss all things Eric here.

I don't think it's any surprise and we all saw it coming. It was only a matter of time. I think Ashley scared him into it too!

I agree with the person below. E and S just belong together, which is why the proposal didn't seem that out of place. E thinks about her all the time. Anyway, the ring was fantastic and from a socially responsible company called Brilliant Earth in San Francisco. It fit in perfectly with the socially responsible theme throughout the episode.

Watching the finale over again seemed cheaply done if you want to make a big deal of the Sloan and E reunion. It should have been bigger. And i am not talking about ring size. I am talking the big picture. It almost seemed as if E woke up, called Sloan, and picked up a ring, all in an hour. I am glad the ending happened, but it could have been better written and tastefully done, with the same outcome. Seems a little lame watching it over again. Anyone can propose like that. It wasn't the true Entourage style at all They just belong together, I guess. Boy was I wrong in an earlier post; Sloan wasn't the one playing immature games with E, Ashley was! I kind of like this angle, E & Sloan being engaged. Gives a new twist to Season 7. Get to work, Doug E!

As a girl, i agree with the finale being like a romantic comedy with the fairy tale ending. Something every girl would love, but knows it is improbable of happening. I LOVE fairy tale endings, and know they are only in the movies. The ending with Sloan and E had to be written by a woman who hasn't put much thought into romance and making it special for the one they love, as well as a "little" input from a man that truly doesn't give much thought to the creativity of romancing a woman you wish to marry. They did the fairy tale ending half way. If they had written it right with romanticism, and in the true fashion of the show; E would have went to Sloan's house with a limousine service, embedded with her favorite flowers, furnished with her favorite items, E in a classic suit, going to a local restaurant (preferably the one where he snubbed her for Ashley to make up for his error in judgment), where he proposes on his knees to Sloan with his undying love and devotion for new beginnings with only her. WOW, i bet the limo drive back to the house would have been anything than boring!!! Watching the finale over again seemed cheaply done if you want to make a big deal of the Sloan and E reunion. It should have been bigger. And i am not talking about ring size. I am talking the big picture. It almost seemed as if E woke up, called Sloan, and picked up a ring, all in an hour. Maybe a few scenes of Sloan and some dialog where we knew what she was thinking on the other side during this up and down roller coaster with E. (like with her mother or girlfriend).............. but the neanderthal fans would have gone off if that were the case, so the show leaves it up to your imagination. She could have said no......... but she didn't and I actually can see that Sloan from the get go hated the thought of dating actors and took that off the menu from the start. So she end up with E. who is charming and she did have that threesome.........so what more do you want...... -- Edited by jrenai at 10/11/2009 11:40 AM PDT

It was more of a romantic comedy ending - actually that or a soap opera (and soon we find out that Turtle is really Terrance's son and heir to millions of dollars). I guess they dropped hints that Sloan still loved him, but it wasn't very realistic for them to suddenly end up engaged. Even if it's plausible, it's been done over and over, and over and over and over again - and it's pretty lame. If you're trying to convince a girl, you're not doin' it right.

Eric's character is definitely the foundation of the group. I would like to see some really good things happen for him now with his love life. Out of all of them, i see him getting married next, not Turtle. -- Edited by monochromepicgirl at 08/15/2009 6:52 AM PDT

I liked him in He's Just Not That Into You...a movie I was coerced into seeing with my sister and didn't really like, but I liked Kevin! -- ********* Host_Ginna HBO Forums Host

(Quote){Kevin Connolly E is great in this show! He is the one person that Vince can really trust and go to for sound advice! Much more stable than those other two knuckleheads!! } (UnQuote) Yeah, but Drama & Turtle are close, loyal friends/family also, and Vince needs to be grounded. Stability isn't what this show needs, anyway.
