I came here expecting to find a whole bunch of posts feeling the way I did about the first ep. I'm pretty shocked not to. But I guess people are not even bothering to make the effort to come and post - that's how lame it was. People I've been talking to either hated or did not watch the season premiere. I was personally offended by it for many reasons. One reason is because of the forced, weak storyline. HUGE yawn. Another reason is the gratuitous sex. The question then becomes how could I, a loyal fan who knows and accepts the T & A business, get offended? Well, because this was such a stupid and cheap episode - that's how? The sex was obviously tossed in for cheap thrills. Yeah, whoopee. How fun to learn Vinnie has been whoring himself out and effing his misery away all summer by Maria and pals. My boyfriend put it best: He said it's like someone wrote it with their pr**k. I have to agree. It was the biggest cliche of a wetdream on film. How absolutely stupid and insulting to make us wait how many months just for this cold crap? You blew what could have been such a great and interesting opportunity to take the show somewhere new and different by falling back on the cheapest and laziest bag of tricks! Vinnie looking like a porn star on some Mexican paradise island? No introspection at all? Gimme a break! Is it written somewhere in Adrian's contract that he can only play smug and chipper? I doubt it! This was a chance for his character to find teeth and you blew it. You also made the best character, Ari, look like a boring, angry putz when he is so not that. Why turn him into a cliche as well? Tell me are you just going to piss away the entire season, cuz if so please tell me now and I won't bother with it. This season was ripe for real entertainment and exploration. It should've started off with a bang not a banging. You "writers" blew it. Vinnie and Ari never looked more one dimensional. I know you lot think you're all set for life and could write this show in your sleep; but it certainly doesn't mean you should.

See, normally I like the openers, but I just think I still had that disapointment from season 4. I thought episode two had more to it than episode one and they talked about "rebuilding" Vince and hopefully Season 5 is the same. They used to some old guest stars to maybe go back and rebuild this show. It felt like old entourage during this past episode IMO.

You guys came up with some really good remarks. I enjoyed them. I think a few of us would have some great laughs and fun discussion! That being said others come up short on the brain cell front. Way short. Like Migruel (sic): who must be a lonely dolt to come here and hang around just to shoot the shit. And oh, ha-ha! his seventh grade joke. Wow so original! No wonder he calls this the, what? Best show ever made? Riiight. I guess living vicariously is what your empty life has been reduced to. No shocker there. Now get off the Kinkos computer and go home. Schools back in session and you more than anyone here desperately needs the education. Try a film study class. Widen your horizons a little (a lot). As for the idiot who called me Palin, I know it's really cool nowadays to be snarky, but that was pretty lame and trite. Plus if you knew me (and hey, you don't!) you'd realize how rotten that remark is to me. I detest her more than I hated this first episode - which btw sucked! Hee!

I think that this episode was great and fullfilled it's purpose, which is to show whats been going on during the break and get vince back to get him a job. I agree that it was wierd to watch this episode the first time because it had been so long since i had watched a new episode, but after i watched it again i liked it. You said that you were mad that vince didn't "find teeth" why would they change vince when we all love him for who he is.

Every season someone posts how the first episode sucks. Then it has to be explained to that person that the first episode is the set up episode, and then everyone is raving about how good the show is the third episode of the new season. Here we go again... -- Edited by PaulStanley at 09/12/2008 11:38 PM PDT

> How does E afford his office if Vince has to live for > $79 a day? Only addressing one of your points, I know, but Vince doesn't say that he can only afford $79 a day-he says he doesn't want to leave Mexico because he loves his beach hideaway and it only is costing him $79 a day

sorry this is off topic but are there any rock trivia buffs out there that can "name that song" in the last episode (i think it's from the 60's) that played as the credits rolled at the end of the show? "boo-pip pip ya!"

But they had some really really sick scenes with the music this ep. That was the best part.

Alright HTOWN, What happened to the movie Harvey bought for $1.00? What has he done with it so far? What happened to Clouds or Silo that they got money to rent out that house in season 4? Did they give the money back? How does E afford his office if Vince has to live for $79 a day? -- Edited by tonyromofan at 09/12/2008 5:32 PM PDT

Episode Rocked! kinda it could have been better and they could have aired two 22 min shows to give the fans what they want and thats a good fixing of New Entourage. That said they built on a lot of new topics and themes for the shows upcoming episodes and I love the T&A . overall I would give it a B-

Everything that Ari says is something an intelligent person would understand. His analogies are awesome, and makes reference to many things.... in other words.. u have to think about what he says if you dont understand what Ari says..... I totaly get Ari and his character is very smart. If all i wanted was sex then i wou ld wait two hours for late night......Im an original fan... and im not WTF No story or plot??? im sorry but the show is rich with plot and story, and the twist at the end only shows that..... The characters are not exaggerated at all... its realistic how they interact with each other and how they get emotional....... Even though i dont live that life, i can see how all the stories "could" happen...and real life actors would tell you themselves... THE SHOW IS REALISTIC.... -- miguel.. yea!!

Its a season Premiere! Chill out and enjoy the show! Stop trying to over analyze it and give it a few episodes... The entire plot is not going to be revealed in the first episode; that would make for a rather lame season.

I'm not saying I hate the show but it has fallen. People who don't understand where we are coming from, watches the show because it's all about sex, money, and fame, and its popular. Thats what happens to popular shows, they exaggerate their characters for the bandwagon fans and leave the original fans wondering WTF? Ari just yells at people for no reason and without anything clever to say. There is no story or plot, its just random now over emphasizing on the individual characters. Some people just absolutely loved this show for what it really was. Nothing wrong with wondering WTF?
