In "Fore" Vince mentioned getting paid 4 mill for being the voice-over of a dog. Did I miss an entire season? I thought Vince just finished Gatsby. Correct me if I'm wrong but I don't remember any talking dogs in that story. Anyone know what's up with that?

I'm sorry, but I can't see Vince saying something like this in Season 2. "Don't worry about the cost of the strippers Dom, I just got paid 4 million to do the voice of a dog." WHAT?!!?!

It's entirely possible that Vince did a movie that was never shown to the audience. As soon as I heard Vince say his line I thought about how he was offered the voice over for Benji in a movie that would film in Alaska. The whole "Tree Trippers" episode in season 5 was based on Vince trying to decide whether he should do Benji or Smoke Jumpers. Obviously Vinnie decided on Smoke Jumpers but he still could have done Benji or it could be some other movie entirely. Ellin doesn't care about continuity or keeping the audience fully informed.

relax, this is normal for this show they do these things purposely they cannot write every story/event into every episode they did this with queens blvd. and now gatsby they wrote it in that Vince would film these 2 flicks and they did'nt show him filming either one, we've seen him film 2 flicks only....A1 & Medellin, they wont show him filimg every flick he signs on to do, they dont have that kind of money/budget for that kind of production you have no idea how much money it costed them to set up production for filming "Medellin" or the "Gatsby" premeire scene where they had some 500 extras and shut down HW blvd in front of very famous Mann's Chinese Theater at 2am to film that entire 5 min scene. I'm sure renting out that theater to show the premeire party inside was very costly to production So, this is normal for them to not show him filimg a animated flick or all this other films for this matter and yes, 4 mill for doing animation is considered normal for HW buisness. those movies cost 40-80 mil to make and 1/3-1/4 is usually actors' salaries (keep in mind more than 1 A-B list actors for 1 animation) so each one getting 1-6 mil is considered normal, especially if it tanks and does'nt make money, at least talent gets their quota, and if it does make serious money like for example: NEMO...then they get % from the profits (like Ellen got some 25 million in profits after the movie made 600 in the end, but she only got 2 mill up front for it, this was all before she got her daytime show and become even more super famous)

I'm trying to keep the faith that some of these little bits will work their way in to future episodes and we'll all say "So that's what all the mystery was about". Gotta have some faith in Ellin. He's no hack.

Who knows anymore? This show has gotten us to lose the identities of all of the characters, there's so many hidden things that are not even shown in the episodes. Jamie Lynn will be doing Drama's show, I doubt they'll put that in an episode. And now, Vince just did a cartoon movie apparently. And 4 million is a hell of a lot of money to make off of a cartoon movie. Like you said, I guess they forgot to air Season 5.5 -- Edited by loozangeleslakaz at 08/11/2009 7:31 PM PDT
