Ha ha ha ha - and on paper these words are done no justice without Murray's hard blood pressured delivery.

Oh - I forgot. He doesn't call them "Merry" jesters until they arrive at his office later where he says something like "Here they are, the Merry Jesters" (I did not write that one down, I only have so much patience). :)

Oh, definitely. I really only noticed it blatantly with the Lord of the Rings song.

My sister and I have a text message war going on where we quote Conchords lines to see who can crack up first with the most random quote. I want to quote Murray's tirade about the "merry jesters" and the "king in the courtyard" but I don't remember it word for word.

Can any one help a fellow fan out?

Thanks!!

Remember, Jemaine as the 3 Bowies had no glasses on.

Although he was in makeup and far out costumes, he was sans funky, funky eyewear!

I suppose that's the whole reason why these kinds of forums exist - we all know pretty much what each other is talking about and we have some basis for articulating our unique feelings of Conchord joy.

Another great episode guys...

I think Cheer Up Murray has a bit of a "SchoolHouse Rock" feel to it.

Also, I think Bulaboy is right...
This is the only time I remember seeing Jemaine sans glasses.

I can see similarities with Tenacious D in some of the songs, but I think Flight of the Conchords has their own unique style of expression. I am a lover of parodies and satire and I am really enjoying their music.

Like others I hope HBO will give this show a chance to find all of it's audience. You know, the first season of Seinfeld they struggled a little in the ratings but fortunately the network execs exercised a little discretion and didn't pull the plug. Also, the show was evolving from the Seinfeld Chronicles, which featured stand-up segments, to a 3 intersecting story-lines type format without the stand-up.

I mention this because I am hoping that HBO will allow this show to mature and reach it's full potential.

I do think the writers need to give the guys (and us) some small successes between the calamities and disappointments, and I hope something good happens to Murray soon.

This is one of the few shows where our entire family, including the 22 year old and 19 year old all sit in the same room to watch it, and later repeat lines and songs.

Hey, I've waited like a whole day and a half for someone to confirm this! Am I all alone here . . . . ?
