I think this one has been the best episode so far this season... I hope they have other shows with Aussie rivalry, I love that whole thing but that might be because it echos so similarly the Canadian/American relationship and I'm a Canuck: New Zealand is like the Canada of the South Pacific :oP

The short answer yes is to both questions.
It's usually good natured, centering around sport, mainly.
The joking belies and uncomfortable sense that in fact we are more culturally similar than most other countries might be to one another.

Serious question: Is there a big rivalry between Australia and New Zealand? Do the Australians look down upon the kiwis? Yeah I'm sure the guys are playing it up for a joke, but how true is it
