Did you guys ever notice the extremely weird look on Jemaine's face on the bus ride home after Bret showed the greeting card guy his wangah?

Funky eye patch - hehe hehe cool name. Bret looks handsome in that eye patch by the way. . . I too loved Jemaine's Bowie impressions. I'll confess - sort of embarrassing to me - I thought that was David Bowie until I watched the episode for a second time. I don't konw why I thought that. I know what David Bowie looks like, and I love David Bowie's music (it's not like I'm unfamiliar with this great rocker) but for some reason, I just bought the impression right off the bat. It just rang true to me - it was sort of like an optical illusion. Anyway,Jemaine's impression of Bowie was hilarious and I've said this a thousand times to various people who don't really give a crap but Jemaine is an absolutely amazing performer with an extreme intelligence that comes out in his Bowie impressions as well as his simple slightly annoyed moments.

Jemaine's Bowie impression might be the best/funniest impression I've ever seen. I thought I would overdose on this episode, but apparently that is impossible. Can't get enough! "Don't let anybody tell you you're not hump-able, because you're bump-able, Well, I hope this doesn't make you feel uncomfortable." XD -- Edited by FunkyEyePatch at 09/02/2007 7:04 PM

Bowie is my favorite Flight of the Conchords episode of all time! I love it love it love it. . . Love it love it love it. I started to notice how great Murray was in this show. Ha ha the part where they are sitting on the couch in the greeting card guy's office - "This is Bret, he's the smaller one - he likes animals - he was bulemic - little touch of that - it's cleared up" Hehehe I love this episode. And I just totally officially love the shit out of Jemaine - when he was sitting in the library with Mel - the look on his face when Mel said, "now if you two were to make love, that would be gay" she said to him hopefully. Jemaine was adorable every line through this entire episode - he sparkled! Bret rocks. Hottie. Jemaine's a hottie too. But Bret's face when Jemaine was singing "Bret you've got it going on" AWESOME. Hilarious.

Is that a real synthesizer in the "Bowie in Space" video or just a prop?

Thought that was Jemaine playing Bowie, but wasn't sure. Is that indeed the case? Watched the credits but they didn't say.

I haven't seen a mention of the photo of them that appears in "Novelty Music Scene" magazine that Bret is reading. Did you notice that they've got their arms up in the "gymnast" pose? Too funny!

LMFAO When Jemaine asks Bret if he remembers being drunk at him Mum's 60th birthday party. Jemaine says he heard Bret in the bathroom afterwords being "a bit bulimic." Charming Kiwis, great writing and true talent deserves more seasons HBO! They are not only witty songwriters but excellent musicians, Each genre of music they play sounds fantastic-the lyrics are the icing on the cake. NZ likes to rock the party!!!!!! -- Sue them, just sue them... It's my bluetooth friend.

LOLOLOL.... Bret: "Well, that's definitely a bit gay." Jemaine: "What is?" Bret: "Putting a wig on me while I'm asleep." Jemaine: "I think, sometimes, you hear what you wanna hear. It wouldn't be gay to put a wig on a man and pretend they're a woman. How can that be gay, if you're pretending their a woman? Not that I did it."

Jemaine as Bowie made me laugh so hard I was crying! "Get an eyepatch man." So awesome. As I'm rewatching the Sally Returns episode now I just thought I'd mention I always think Jemaines outfits are supercool. I also like how sometimes they look knowingly right at the camera to make a point. really funny. Oh yeah. Last week HBO was visiting my workplace and handed out these quizzes about programming, the FOTC question was about Brit & Eugene!!! We all just crossed out the wrong names and wrote in the real ones but it was a really weird thing to happen. Love the show so much.

Brilliant episode. Extraordinary show! Makes me homesick for NYC. I look forward to watching FOTC every week. I hope this show continues on HBO for many years to come. -- Edited by ksarynnej at 07/29/2007 11:25 PM -- Edited by ksarynnej at 07/29/2007 11:28 PM

They didn't call themselves a parody band, they referred to themselves as a novelty band.
