I was rewatching this episode today and noticed Lisa was wearing an oven mitt while she was having her way with Bret on the work table.
It's these little details that make the show so great.
Really, what was she doing with an oven mitt?

ha ha ha - yeah and remember when he fixed it? It was spraying out water from a strange angle and Jemaine was catching the water holding the t-pot in an awkward position. hehe he

Why only 2-3 seasons? If they can beat a dead donkey like Sex in the City for like, 18 seasons, what's wrong with keeping our guys around for that long?

Bret is extraordinarily talented as an actor and performer. He really shows his stuff with the french rapping and umbrella spinning. Absolutely adorable. A thief of my own heart.

And Jemaine is so damn cute - the talking stove. "Cheer up, Bret. Things will. . . work out"

I love it all. The Conchords are the reason I watch TV at all.

oooh! my first post!

lets see, i did really like this episode, it did break my heart that bret was forced into sex but this line made up for it completely:

J: are you okay bret?
B: could you get out plz i'm trying to have a shower
J: okay, but i was in here first, and you came in here, with your clothes on....crying.

so mugged is the community favorite huh? it had some great songs...but it made me sad. i like "Bret gives up the dream" off the top of my head...

and they should have me episodes where Jermaine is main story, I'm in love with Bret but, Jermaine is a comedic Genius.

I liked the episode, but not as much as the others. . . I mean, nothing can beat mugged!
Either way, I almost died when Jermaine did the talking stove and was like "Let's bake a cake.'
It was amazing!
I love this show!

Omg Jemaine is adorable in the Kiss is not a contract song. When he looked over his glasses is almost swooned. Poor Jemaine, you can't help but what him to get some action.

The guys' attitudes and deadpan delivery reminds me of the Beatles in a Hard Days' Night.

When Brett asked "Do you think I dress too provocatively?" he sounded just like George Harrison to me!

I LOVE this show. It is like sweet sweet candy.

Murray seems inpired by Stephen Merchant on Extras. They are both equally funny.

Wow, I haven't posted since "Six Feet Under" was on. My husband and I both LOVE this show and our two sons, 22 and 18 are very into it with all their friends as well.

I felt compelled to post because NO ONE mentioned what the 22-year-old and I both think was THE funniest line in this episode (and made funnier by the fact that he said it twice):

Jemaine: "Fix the sink!"

"Foux da fa fa" is one of the the best songs in the series. It makes me so happy! My girlfriend and I were dancing around the apartment.

I decided to join the message board to show my support. After HBO decided to cancel Lucky Louie (huge mistake) I thought I should show my love for this show so that it'll stick around.

Love the show; this ep is in a tight race with "Mugged".
Count me in on the concerns of another season. After I did a search on You Tube for "She's So Hot...BOOM!" -- for one of my blog post's ode to FOTC -- in an earlier ep, a lot of the songs on the ep's derived from a FOTC stand-up comedy special...of which "...BOOM!" was the closing piece. I didn't look for production info., etc. on that show.
That said, should Bret & Jemaine hit the studio and cut more tracks, I have all faith the creative staff will conjure up enough surrounding material to make an ep of each track. They certainly nailed it for 8 of 'em.
